Epic Games Account Linking

How can I link my current Fortnite account to my epic games account if I have another unused Switch account linked already?

I play on Switch but have different accounts on xbox and ps4. Xbox and ps4 are the same accounts but Switch isn't. I want all 3 consoles to have the same skins etc as the Switch.

I get a warning that I'll lose all data unlinking the Switch account. Epic games CS said I should log in to epic games via Nintendo and after doing so it now shows my email address on the connections page under Switch where it didn't before but the issue is still there.

    Contact their support and they'll be able to unlink it for you once only, I did this a few months ago.

      I messaged them previously but I'm not sure we were on the same page. They kept referring me back to this guide:

      Please follow the steps below to promote your Nintendo account:

      1. Go to your PC and go to:
        • https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/home
        Make sure that you are signed out of any account.

      2. Click on SIGN IN (right up corner).

      3. You will be redirected to "Your Community Awaits" page. Click on the Nintendo icon since this is the platform your headless account is on.

      4. Another window will pop-up for the Nintendo console. (If it does not pop-up automatically, please make sure to enable the pop-up windows on your browser).
        • Sign in to your Nintendo account.

      5. When you sign in, a new page will display saying "Almost done!". Please go ahead and fill in all of the required fields (First and Last Name, Display Name, Email and Password). Use a valid email that is not associated with another Epic account.
        • Click the "SAVE CHANGES" button below. By doing this you will link your console with Epic.

      Make sure to use an email that is not registered.

        If you've already had a different account previously linked to your Epic account you need to get them to do it. You might need to make that clear with them.
