Which Miele Vacuum of The C Series?

Hey everyone,

After doing my research into home vacuums it seems the consensus is that the Miele vacuums are the best, with a strong preference for the C3 complete. For context, I will be using this for a fairly large house with some hard floor, some medium carpet, and we have a cat so there is some pet hair around.

Now I've had a look and the complete C3 seems a bit out of my price range. Does anyone know about the other vacuums in the C series?
The C2 compact allergy model is on sale at the good guys and Harvey Norman for $349 which seems like a good deal, but how does it compare to the complete C3? What about the C1? Also if I were to get a complete C3, are they all the same? Some models say 'Cat and Dog', others don't, is there any differences?

I know I've got a fair few questions here but the series seems pretty confusing, if anyone has experience with any of these please let me know your thoughts.

    Can't help much but I've had a C3 for over 6 years and been completely happy with it. My belief is that all the C3 are the same but the included accessories, and colour, differ (mine was a hard floor model which I believe is NLA).

    After 25 years with first Miele that wore out, bought C3 Dog and Cat model with a 2000w motor lieu of smaller motor in other C models.It came with both Large and Small turbo head from the TTG on sale and last floor stock left for $390. I think small turbo was left in box from another machine TTG as had trouble finding the right box. Brilliant machine on carpet and hard floor in a very large house. Easy to self service filters yourself on a regular basis which should be done.First choice in my opinion and I do a lot of the vacuuming.

    Been using a CX1 Cat/Dog bagless since early 2019, can't fault it.

    Get a robovac, you'll never use your main vac again.

      he's right - I loved my C3 when I first got it, but it's nothing compared to how good robot vacuums are these days especially if you have pets. They do a better job at vacuuming, and you can set it to work daily. Massive time saver + a clean floor.
