Well priced microphone boom arm from Brateck

Good choice for those looking to spend about half the price of a Rode PSA1 but still want something better than the low quality Neewer and clones that have flooded the market

It's a pretty nice boom arm. I do have the Blue Compass also, and there's not much between them.

How are these compared to the PSA1?

  • owner of almost 1 year now, rock solid. (paired with EM91c)
one minor problem is all the clip that use to secure the cable on its back, is very lose, almost useless.
i had to use black tape to secure my cable into the slot.

    • Buy a few rolls of cable managing velcro (like $1 a roll from China Ebay), it'll change your life!

Cut to measure, long or short. I use them to secure all kinds of things where I need to adjust or remove constantly (besides long term holds).

  • I have had this for a few months now, its very good compared to the Newer cheapy ones. They do their job but this one has greater range of adjustment.

Been looking for something to fit my Razer Seiren X and apparently this does the job. Ordered. :)

  • looks like its the same Desky is offering?

    • Yeah, same model.

      • with the benefit of "free" delivery I guess :), since I was eying off one already to clean up the desk clutter..

I bought one of these yesterday and it arrived at my place in Brisbane today, a week sooner than what Amazon anticipated! It's really sturdy, although one minor fault with it is that the stand merely appears to sit inside the desk mount, with no apparent way to lock it in - not sure if that's something I can adjust. Nevertheless, it's a great addition to my 'matte black everything' home office, thanks OP!

Just got mine and I know what you mean. Technically the weight should hold it in place but yeah, it feels weird not having it actually locked in place.

    • same here arrived a day later (GC) and for the price its very sturdy, I'm using a Yeti Blue and the "weight" is not an issue nor have I noticed any bounce

  • Would this work fine with a HyperX Quadcast S? I assume the mounts are universal

Should do, that little adapter that comes with that microphone should allow it to be mounted.
