Can anyone recommend a brand/model of usb dock/hub that you can press a button and it switches to the other device reliably?
Have a Samsung monitor that can show 2 inputs but moving usb devices from 1 to the other pc is a pain.

Yea - Like @Fergy1987 says below - you could spend less and get the USB 2.0 version also - its really up to you.
I'd spend a bit more, get 3.0 and the improved speed / future proofing, but if its just a keyboard & mouse, you could save some money.
if its just keyboard and mouse get the USB 2.0 Ugreen one, its like 19 bucks sometimes.
Is there anything similar but for HDMI devices? My TV only has 3, and I’m sick of switching the cord around
Yep, you need a HDMI splitter. You can spend more for more advanced features like automatic switching and HDR. There are plenty to choose from.
I've been using the "Ugreen USB 3.0 Sharing Switch Selector" for about 2 years now - does what it says - no real issues from me.
