The site seems to be ok but this deal is too good to be true. Has anyone dealt with this website before?

If it's too good to be true, it most likely is

NOTICE THOUGH THAT MANY OF THE USERS WHO 'CLAIM' TO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PURCHASED OFF THEM HAS A VERY LOW POST COUNT(I.E. NEW USERS)

edit: just done a quick 5 min research, and i will say that
-Portagadget's pricing on the S3 is most likely a pricing error
-If you are willing to risk $100+(shipping), go with CC as you will have protection with

I'm not sure…if you buy it and receive it for $100, congratulations; otherwise, good luck

Pricing error for one product could be understood but they have a heap of products including S3, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Asus Transformer, Sony Xperia, etc under $100?? Do not even bother buying it with a credit card, why go through the hassle of spending hours on the phone to process a chargeback? Stay away from these sites, its a no brainer.

They seem legit, they have adress and contact number, comes up in google, well it's a huge savings, only $100, get it amd you could resell it heaps more.

Anyone who thinks that he could get a yet to be relesed S3 for under $100 bucks, is a big tool. For the first few weeks this phone will only be available at a price very close to RRP, which surely is nowhere close to $100. I expect better from ozbargainers and anyone who thinks this is a good deal or that they seem legit, deserves to get scammed.

I believe it's deposit for pre order. You pay the balance when the phone is released.

      I agree.

"When will I be charged for my pre-order?
Pay a deposit - $100 then you are eligible to reserve for the hot products to be release to the market.
Once item released, we will inform you the actual price of the item, and you will need to pay the balance. If you are not agree to the price that we offered, we will refund your deposit."

i agree with what was said above.. cummon people.. 100 bucks for a UNRELEASED device?

you should expect a cardboard or photoshop printed copy of the phone in your package in substitution for your lack of logic or "common" sense.. not to flame anyone but seriously?? are you THAT naive? …

also : might be worth noting that their grammer is wrong, which means asian (i know, being one) and fyi : i disbelieve it is pre-order etc. for on the actual page of the product, it does not state pre order now. it says

    Estimated Selling Price : USD$850

**Status : Usually ship when officially released.

    followed by : Our price: US$100.00 (CA$98.00)

    which leads me to believe
    a) fallen off the back of a truck device
    b) insurance or some other scam ,
    c) expect the above mentioned photo shop or a brick in substitution of actual device ;)

    good luck!

  • i've bought from them before, they're pretty quick in processing the order and shipping. seems like they've now clarified with

    "Samsung Galaxy S3 Warranty :
This product is covered by a full 12 month manufacturer warranty.

    Estimated Selling Price : USD$850
**Status : Usually ship when officially released and depending on availability.
**Pay a deposit - $100 then you are eligible to reserve for the hot products.
Once item released, we will inform you the actual price of the item, and you will need to pay the balance. If you are not agree to the price that we offered, we will refund your deposit."
