  • Why not get another 12% off that booking in Victoria.

Because most places aren't listed on Booking.com

    • Must be my lucky day.

Prices are always jacked when clicking through SB/CR.

    • Mine wasn't.

      • It always is. Use different ip to check the price hike

        • Might depend where you are staying. The place I booked is the same with or without shopback. I tried different IP addresses.

      Not always.

I would recommend mods remove this post.

        Same thing happened last time.

    • It's definitely something to look out for. It often happens, but not always. But what it does for me is make me trawl other sites for better deals because booking.com are being super dodgy. From memory, agoda and hotels.com also do this.

  • Depends on the hotel, some stay the same price, some get more expensive.
I just cancelled a booking I already made, and rebooked with 12% for the same price.
Just have to be aware that it can happen.

  • Looking to rent a holiday home through booking.com in July, however they don't allow 'pay now', just a reservation to be paid in full 2 weeks prior. Any idea if I can use cashback on a property like that? Or am I limited to using discounted gift cards?

Follow up question, the price is cheaper in local currency than it is in AUD, can I get a friend to place the reservation in the local currency and then pay with discounted AUD gift cards? Probably not..?
