Monitor for PS5

Hi all - Finally got my hands on a PS5 (i think going to pick it up tonight). Next thing I need is a monitor…

I was looking between these two based on comments and feedback on here (20% off with the deal). Happy to consider any others!
Dell 34 Curved Gaming Monitor – S3422DWG
or
New Dell 32 Curved Gaming Monitor - S3222DGM

Just an alternative to gaming on my TV and not occupying the lounge. Screen will also be used for work purposes.

Thanks!

PS5 doesn't support widescreen so rules out first one.

Second one would only display 1080p as PS5 doesn't support 1440p. I personally don't like VA panels but your call.

  • Im not sure if there is a sale on it atm but I picked up the DELL S2722DGM recently for my Xbox One X and I'm liking it. It is my first gaming monitor and I guess most monitors would feel great after playing on a 49" TV for so long

Don't get a Dell that isn't native 4k. My 1440p monitor doesn't accept a 4k signal from ps4 pro so I have to run it at 1080p. Would be the same with ps5.

got it so none of these two options - I'll start looking for a native 4k

  • 4K with real HDR, which means at least zoned backlighting.

    Not all 1440p will default to 1080p. I use my ps5 with a 32inch 1440 AOC monitor which accepts a 4K input.

  • It's a bit bigger than what you listed, but hear me out.. 48" LG C1. You can use this for work purposes too if you have the space.

    • So many spread sheets. So I was love this but obviously the slight price bump doesn't allow it

    • Arent TVs bad for reading small text compared to a monitor?

  • How about something like… https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/25plus-inch/957…

So within my budget i have to choose between 4k or 144hz refresh. From what I am seeing the refresh rate is more important
