Deals on Breville Barista Express or Dual Boiler

Looking for a good coffee machine. Budget <$1000

Ideally looking for the best deals on the Barista express (preferably<600) or the dual boiler (<1000). Thank you

  • Dual boiler not going sub-1k anywhere at the moment, at least from what I’ve seen. I’d definitely be tempted to grab one at the 800-900 price point.

  • Wanting a dual boiler too, missed the previous deals and have been waiting for ages.

  • I don't mind an express but like would be good if it was below 600. Any other comparable machines to it?

  • Looking as well, our dual boiler having issues again, had it repaired 3 times in 2 years, 5 year old. Lucky we have a coffee machine repair guy who is reasonable.
He reckons they are great coffee makers but have the most issues, too many parts go wrong, had 4 in when I rang him last week.
    Paid $1079 with grinder originally.

    • That's a great deal. I think i am looking more for the express now because it has the integrated grinder which means more kitchen space to use. But I can't find a good deal on i

      • seperate grinder is better

  • My too, looking for a BDB deal, preferably a matt black one (Black Truffle) but it's only available as a bundle (BEP920BTR)

The standalone black is too shiny (Black Sesame, BES920BKS).

There's also Black Stainless Steel (BST) in other models, but not available for BDB.

By the way, Mother's Day bonus pack is on again: https://promotions.breville.com.au/mothers-day-espresso-marc…, so now is the time if there's a sale.

On a side note, Breville is planning to acquire Lelit (Italian coffee machine maker), may already be a done deal. It's not going to change anything in the short term, some technologies may be shared in future models.

  • I'm also looking for the Dual Boiler deal, I'd say it's considerably better than the Express.
Aside from simply being a dual boiler system, and allowing you to steam milk immediately or while pulling a shot.
You can adjust preinfusion times for lighter and darker roasts and gives you better temperature consistency when making coffee for guests.

Unfortunately it is way too overpriced at the moment and is only appropriately priced with the grinder combo (The lowest I've spotted is $1300)
At it's current price, the Express is definitely the better pick for a first coffee machine.

  • Thanks guys, went for an express!

    • WHat price ? Where did you buy

      • Amazon at 705 with 10% cashback

        • still following and waiting for sub 600 again
