What Is The Cheapest Way to Get Office 365 Personal?

What's the cheapest way to get an Office 365 personal sub? So far i've got this:
- Access to the Microsoft home use program which brings the yearly sub down to $69.30
- Potential cashback from Cashrewards/Shopback in the $5-7 range
- Potential but unlikely 2% cashback from Crypto.com card (purchases with merchant code classified as software are ineligible for cashback for some reason)

Are there any deals or stores that anyone is aware of selling it cheaper than that? Not interested in dodgy ebay stuff or phony "lifetime" subscriptions. I can also see they offer a 1 month free trial of family but not personal. Anyone know if it's possible to sign up to the family trial and then change it to a personal sub? I've also read on here it might be possible to get 2 months free out of them by not having auto renew on.

SaveOnIt seem to be the reputable source around here for discount 365 subs :)

    • Used them lots and can vouch for them.

    • I have also used SaveOnIt several times and they are great. Also try a Price Beat at Officeworks - I've had them peat the SaveOnIt price a couple of times, but not always successfull.

Absolute cheapest is the 50% off offer you occasionally get after doing a Windows update. But this is like once a year. I would just go with SaveOnIt if this is needed immediately.

Split the family plan between six people.

  • Well the cheapest way to get it from a friend (like Netflix password sharing). Otherwise, you can probably still use those lifetime older office versions like 2007, 2010 etc.

I mean are ways on getting the software for free, like going to library or school/education.

Best probably get student account shared within family ? (which the student gets for free, as it's paid by educational institute directly)

  • If you work in corporate, you can use your work email and log into your personal account as a second user.
