  • Will the micro SD suit a Contour Roam?

    • Hi z00m,

The specs of Contour Roam says Micro SD, i believe this will work on it.
micro SD's size are all the same.

      Cheers

      • Thanks francesca just bought one!

        • Thanks for the support :)

          Cheers.

    • That device accepts SD HC only - i.e. 32GB max.
So if you are talking about the 64GB one above then no.

  • Excellent! Thanks again for a Great Deal Francesca!!

Have made my purchase! Looking forward to the post!

    Jen

    • Hi Jen,

      Thanks for your support :)

      Cheers

Wow 64GB micro is $15 less than last time. I just bought another - so at least my average is better now!

  • Ordered a 16GB and 8GB (Sandisk Mobile Ultra MicroSD), wonder how the speeds fare compared to the larger cards.
Good price on the 8GB, the 16GB is $3-4 cheaper elsewhere, but free shipping wins.

You have two "Victoria" entries in the dropdown box for selecting state, btw.

    • Fairly consistent speeds across the ultra micro range so far 16/32/64GB. No 8GB result yet though hint hint…

      • From my Atrix -

current 16GB (sandisk 'c4') sd card:
        Write: 3.9MB/s
        Read: 9.1MB/s

        emmc (internal storage):
        3.8MB/s
        13.6MB/s

UHS I sandisk 16GB (from this order):
        Write: 11.4MB/s
        Read: 13.1MB/s

    • Hi Lukian,

Thanks for pointing it out, i ll get that fixed.

      Cheers

    • @lukian, where can you find cheaper 16gb one? i want a 32gb for my D800, but dont mind 2x16gb if they are cheaper.

  • Damn, I bought for $51, now it is $6 cheaper…..

  • Sigh, just bought one few hours ago….

  • +1

These prices seem to go down a few bucks every time Fran does a special. Since I'm not in urgent need of a card at this time, I might wait for the next special.

    • +2

AUD has already dropped within minutes of today's rate cut. I'd get in now if I were you.

  • I'm interested in one of the micro sds, does it matter if I use an adapter of a different class?

    • +1

      Hi,

There is an adapter included for all the micro SDs selling on our site.

      Cheers

      • +1

Great news! I asked if you could throw one in but edited and removed the message because it was already a good deal. Doubley good deal now!

  • +1

Damn, i just went out at lunchtime and bought a couple of price matched 16g SD's from officeworks (matched to msy)

But what the hell, i'll grab a 32g for my 60D

    thanks OP

  • Hi francesca,

I'm going to get a 64 gig microsd, it'd be super good if you can throw in a usb microsd card reader like this one - http://www.memorycity.com.au/sandisk/45-sandisk-cruzer-fit-8…

    Please! =)

    Cheers.

    • Err, I think you may have posted the link to a 8gb flash drive instead.. =\

    • +1

      Hi,

Do you mean the micro SD adapter?
It is included in the 64gb micro sd package already.

The link you showed is a USB 2.0 Flash Drive.

      Cheers

  • Great deal OP. Thanks for this, just bought one :)

  • Excellent, just ordered the 64 GB micro sd card.

  • Great stuff - prices keep getting better every post.
    Really tempted to get another….

  • How do we know they sell genuine products?

    • Hi freshpetalz,

We source our memory cards locally, been selling a few months with over thousands of unit sold.
We surely only sell genuine sandisk products.
You can verify our cards by calling SanDisk Support Hotline as well.

      Cheers

  • Fantastic, just ordered 3x 16GB Extreme HD. They will go perfectly nicely with our new HDR-PJ200E for A$294.

    • where did you get HDR-PJ200E for $294?

      • +1

Well, that will be the final price, came to it by. RRP $448 at TGG, but paid $415 TGG online price, less $83 savings from TGG Aust Post 20% off, and then take another $37 TRS refund off that to make it ~$294. Unbelievable vidcam…the projector is fantastic and great quality/power :)

  • +1

Well, obviously I didn't need THAT money. :/

  • Hello Francesca and anyone else who can answer this,

I just upgraded my camera (first time in years) to a Canon SX260 HS.

What would be the minimum speed I would need for recording HD video?

Would I notice a benefit from getting faster cards?

    Thank you for your time

Note: I checked the Sandisk USA and AU websites and couldn't find compatibility information for this camera. I also checked the AU Canon website but couldn't find recommendations on what card to use (or maximum capacity it can handle)

    • This site recommends just a Class 6
      http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_sx260hs-re…

Would I see benefits from faster cards?

    • +1

      Hi foundit,

Not all devices would take class 10 cards, i've did some search on google & class 10 is good for your camera too.
I would suggest the Extreme HD Video for HD video recording purpose.
We tried the ultra series & they are sort of slow in response compared to the class 10 ones.
SanDisk distributors told us that the class 10 series are much stable in it's quality and stability wise compared to class 6 series. That is why you ll find people usually prefer to skip class 6 and go for class 10.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers

      • Thanks Francesca :)

        My order arrived already :)

Just in time for a celebration too :) :) :)

        Kind regards

    • Agree, Class 6 is all you need, but the 16GB extreme and Ultra are the same price anyways :)

      • Thank you so, Frances2148 and Coops1

        Going to buy now :)

  • Cheers, grabbed a 32gb microSD Sandisk Ultra.

  • awesome deal already have a 64gb microsd for my galaxy s2, getting one for samsung 7.7 tablet as well :)

  • Thanks for the support guys.

      8GB / 16GB / 32GB / 64GB Micro SD Class 10 - New model just got released by SanDisk

Does this mean that those of us who bought got an old model? If so what's the difference?

      • Means you bought a slower speed card that's now been superceded a day after they went on "sale".

Difference is the guaranteed sustained write speed is 66% faster.

        Fran: I'm interested. Prices?

        • Hi lostn,

Not sure of the prices on the Class 10 yet.
Prices to be reconfirm, i believe i ll be selling the 64GB ones at $99.95 (special price)

What models are you looking at? 16,32,64?

          Cheers

        • I probably would have paid the extra $25 for the class 10, HAD I KNOWN.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

        • Iprobably would have paid the extra $25 for the class 10, HAD I KNOWN.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

          Oh yeah. Bigtime. :(

I too would've paid extra for a faster card.

          Damnit.

        • I'm after 32GB Fran. But I only want them if they're not more expensive than Samsungs.

      • Hi,

I just got the news this morning on the new model released from my supplier, should be able to cater some stock next week.
The amount of stock for new model is limited, i dont think i can cater more than 50pcs on the new one.

The difference would be the Class and mainly the speed rating, the ones in the market & on sale here is the Ultra Class 6.
New model is the Ultra Class 10, the only difference is the read/write speed, but price is much higher too.

        Cheers

        • are the new class 10 micro sd cards the ultra ones?

        • Just bought a class 6 64G micro card. Any chance to change to class10 one?

        • Ditto. Any chance?

        • It kinda sucks you learned about the new models a day after you bought your class 6s but to be fair she didn't need to tell you about them at all until she offers them for sale next week. And then it wouldn't have hurt quite as much.

  • Say, Francesca…

I have a Navigon 1300 GPS that runs Windows CE, so it can be hacked to run other things Windows CE can. It's manual states it can take a 2GB MicroSD card; the company (via email) tells me it can take a 2GB or 4GB; but again, I've found info online stating it can take an 8GB MicroSD.

It's a superseded model. So it's entirely possible the company just couldn't be bothered finding out for me the maximum size card it can take - because first, they never intended for it to be used the way I want to - and second, none of their maps are that large.

So I'm still trying to find out for certain the largest card it will take.

With all that in mind I have three questions for you:

    1. How much time do I have? (i.e. When does the sale end?)

    2. The manual does not mention "HC" (high capacity), only "MicroSD". But at the same time, I haven't yet seen just a "MicroSD" card without the "HC". So are they even two different things? (Will a MicroSDHC card work?)

    3. Same kind of question - what about a "MicroSDHC I" - like this one: http://www.memorycity.com.au/sandisk/35-sandisk-mobile-micro… (i.e. I'm not sure if "MicroSDHC I" will work on a device that only states it takes "MicroSD".)

    • Hi realfamilyman,

      In response to your questions.

      1. The sale will end by tomorrow noon.
2 & 3. The microSDHC will work, HC means High Capacity, generally used for memory 8GB and above. If you checked that 8GB would fit then microSDHC should do well.

      Cheers

      • Thanks - so will the "I" type work too? (Is MicroSDHC the same things as MicroSDHC I?)… as seen here:

        http://www.memorycity.com.au/sandisk/35-sandisk-mobile-micro…

Or is there something different about the "I" type that would make it incompatible?

        • Never mind - time was running out so I bought the lesser card.

        • Hi,

Sorry for the late in response, was busy dispatching orders.
I've did some surf on the net, unfortunately there's no information confirming that a class 6 will work on your GPS.
I suggest you to go for the class 4 ones, most device will work with class 4 cards.

          Sorry for not helping much.

  • Hi,

    stumo
    - I do not know there's the Class 10 cards available, it is showing no where on SanDisk website & news. I got the update from our local supplier this morning. Whether or not i am able to get any stock is a question still, the cost price is much higher than existing Class 6 ones. Sorry if you are feeling cheated on this.

    the discombobul…
    - Unfortunately the lead time and stock for Class 10 micro SD are not confirmed yet so we can't do anything about it now. It is just an update without any confirmation & i would like to share with you all to see if the response is good. Sorry if you are feeling cheated on this.

    y12345678
    - There is no confirmation on the Class 10 price & stock. If your order hasn't been shipped out i can hold your order and wait for the new stock to arrive for an upgrade. Drop me a msg with your order #.

    Cheers

    • Thanks. Never mind, I reckon it's not best timing to buy class 10 card yet

      • Thank you for your understanding :)

That's true too, the Class 10 ones just got released…
We are not sure if it will work on most gadgets & devices in the market.
Will keep OZB updated with the class 10 micro sd 64gb.

        Cheers

    • Thanks. I'm a little over it now :) The burn was deep, though. :) That said I think I'll stick with the class 6 as those cards are confirmed to work with the galaxy s.

So much storage… in a phone. muahahahah. :)

(basically, no stress, my + for this deal still remains :)

      • Thank you for your understanding :)

  • Hi dy4me,

Yes, the new class 10 cards are also of the ultra series.

    Cheers

  • What are the Joyflash branded SDHC cards like?

    They seem very cheap…

    • I sense your joy at getting a bargain, there, may well go up in a flash.

      • So are you guessing? or have you purchased that brand before and been burnt?

        • More best guess. Every time I've bought cheapie cards I've found them more pain than benefit. It may cost me $20 less (or whatever) but if it means that I spend 5 hours writing something to it as opposed to, say, half an hour, they can go blow.

  • @the discombobulated panda

Ahhh no worries. I'll give it a miss then just in case.

I pretty much feel the same about no-name brands, unless a majority can vouch for them - which no one has :-)

  • Just received the Mobile Ultra microSDXC 64GB card. Very impressed with the quick shipping! Card checks out fine through all the usual testing. Thanks Francesca!

  • Looks like this promo has finished and shopping square is still on. I would have preferred this if it is really fast shipping. SS takes about 2 weeks.
