Battery Powered Automatic Pet Feeder?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody could recommend a battery powered automatic pet feeder I can put outside?

I've already got the unit with a wind up timer that does 2 meals but after something to last a bit longer.

All the ones I've found have a battery back up (usually D-Cells) but when I get into the fine print that will only power the unit for about a day.

Are there any li-ion rechargeable units around?

Thanks

Chris

My question is how long are you leaving you pet unattended for?

We are all animal lovers here. I hope you don't upset anyone.

  • Get the good machine. I got the cheap one from Kogan and it delivers a bit too much food and it's not smart either so I can't check it remotely. Wish I paid more in the first place for the better machine.

I wish there was a machine that did wet food too.

  • Depends if you have wet or dry food. Dog or Cat? (Cats tend to be more fussy).
If wet food, you'll need to think of a cooled version if you are sticking it outside

I'm not leaving him (Tangles) at all, this is just for daily use so he can have set meal times and I can have a bit of a sleep in on Sundays or if I get held up at work :)

  • Which animal?

Be prepared to clean it often because insects/mould/birds love free food.

Pets are not accessories, you need to take care of them as if they were family. You forfeited your sleep ins when you decided to take on a lot of responsibility. Just feed and go back to bed like other parents.

  • Sorry, hes a dog :)
