Qantas- your booking is Processing

Hello Members

I booked a Qantas ticket last week from Adelaide to Delhi. Yesterday Qantas sent me a notification email that one of the flight times in the booking has changed. Original booking was Adel->Melb->Delhi.

The new flight was Adelaide- Mel- Adelaide-Delhi. I tried contacting Qantas but after several hours of hold I hung up. Then I canceled the booking under Manage my booking and got all the credit. I instantly used the credit for a new booking, this time directly from Adelaide to Delhi and with no stopover.

Since then I haven't received any confirmation email and even my booking is showing as being processing. I was even waiting for outstanding credit as the fare was low this time but even I haven't received it. Tried contacting them again but several hours hold and someone answered, put me on hold, and disconnected the call.

Does anyone know any easy fix for that?

Thanks

  • I'd call the 13 13 13 number (not the other one that you'll usually see) as this one is 24/7. Call late at night/super early in the morning so wait times are slightly more bearable, put a movie on until they pick up.

Nothing is easy these days involving Qantas. The only way to fix this is to call them.

I had a similar issue with my booking being stuck "processing" - never received a confirmation email but the booking appeared in my Qantas app. I contacted Qantas twice and was reassured both times that everything is "fine" and I should just wait and if there is an issue they will contact me directly. Unsurprisingly, when I actually turned up for my flight, everything was not "fine" and I had to spend 20 minutes at the check-in counter on the phone with the call centre to rebook and pay for the flight.

If you can, wait a few days to see if it sorts itself out (maybe you'll get lucky). If not, call and insist that it's sorted there and then on the phone.

If it says booking is processing and you haven't received anything, it means that the flight has not been ticketed. Qantas has been struggling with ticketing recently - don't ask me why. Most stuff is having to be manually ticketed by an operator so I would call up Qantas and ask them to ticket it. Call 1300 659 116, should get you through to SA/Fiji call centre relatively quick…

    • This.

I had to cancel a flight for someone else, but couldn't online (as the booking was "processing") so called up. They couldn't cancel it for me because I wasn't the passenger, but they ticketed and attached the e-ticket number to the booking so I could do it online

That's odd. I thought there's no direct non-stop Adelaide to delhi Qantas flight.

Only Sydney or Melbourne direct to delhi?

      Original booking was Adel->Melb->Delhi.

      Pays to read the post

No need to be rude. I did read the post and responded to this bit below that maybe you didn't read.

" I instantly used the credit for a new booking, this time directly from Adelaide to Delhi and with no stopover."

  • I've also encountered this issue. OP, did you resolve it?

    • Yes they sent later

    • I resolved it by calling them up

  • Having the same issue. Very annoying!

  • Seems things are a bit rocky in oneworld at the moment. We had flights cancelled as we were trying to book. Awaiting ticketing at the moment too.
