I bought one of these a couple of years ago and it only lasted about 3 months before the top broke. It's also too slow because the spring is in the base only. A speed bag is a much better option and lasted significantly longer.

    No worries. You would probably get a better workout from a tennis ball, attached to elastic string and a baseball cap(DIY jab ball). Eastern European boxers use it as a cost effective way to improve speed and reaction time.
