Low Cost Backup 4g Sim

Hi,fellow bargainers.

Recently, I'm required to have a 4 G data backup sim for my Internet due to the remote location of my business.

I would like to gather some ideas, what is the most cost effective way to maintain a 4 G data SIM. There are not much data needed, at times a few kilobytes or megabytes will be needed due to the downtime of the Internet.

Many thanks

" There are not much data needed, at times a few kilobytes or megabytes will be needed due to the downtime of the Internet."

Just hotspot it from your 4G phone.

  • The cheapest way for that tiny amount of data would be a Telstra modem with 4G backup. They work even after you no longer have an active service. You can either buy one second hand, or sign up and leave. It's even free if you use their 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Mine is still working years after leaving Telstra.

  • Get this modem: https://store.netgear.com.au/home-solutions/mobile-broadband…
-it can connect to NBN and have 4G as backup.

I think Belong Mobile (Telstra Wholesale Network) is $15/month and is a cheap way to maintain a 4G back up. If you require more data just buy it off OzBargain Classified usually going for 20c per GB which is about $200 per TB with unlimited GB roll-over. If you end up closing the belong account you can always sell back the GB on OzB.

  • Thanks, i will have a look all
