Sungrow Inverter $2,599* Upfront (Total Cost: $3,999)

    So it costs $3,999?

Your post has way too many * it looks dodge.

    • I reckon the title should be $3,999. That is the price paid by all customers. Can detail loan in the description but is confusing in the title as usually the bracketed price is seen as "RRP/what it was".

      • Thanks Anthman,

Have updated the title and description to be more clear.

        Cheers,

        Matt

  • Hi Deme,

We have tried to detail the costs so its clear for customers. If you look at the breakdown in the description it details the breakdown of the rebates.

Please note Solar Victoria (government body) offers residents a rebate of $1,400 as well as an optional Interest free loan of $1,400 to help reduce the upfront cost of the system.

    Cost without the loan is:$3,999

After the optional loan is:$2,599, this is paid upon completion of installation directly to us and the remainder can be paid using the interest free loan if the customer decides to avail that option.

Happy to explain further if needed, feel free to send us a message, call us on 03 8322 9999 or email us on [email protected].

    Regards,

    Matt

  • what would be the price for 13.3kw system with 10kw inverter?

    • Hi Bargain4all,

Larger systems are a bit more complicated, and we would like to look at the roof space, splits and installation requirements for an accurate quote.

If you could please share your property address and email (via PM, call or email) I will design a property specific quote for you shortly.

  • Anyone on here used these guys before? Very tempted by this offer (I'm not eligible for the Vic solar grant :()

    • +2

I used them and had no issues. They removed my old system and installed 27 panels for a 9.9Kw system, it was a painless experience and the installers were very good to deal with on the day of install.

      • Thanks wombat, that's pretty much all I needed to hear - have submitted an enquiry!

      • +1

Have a old system installed many many years back too. Do you loss anything, ie feed in rebate?

        • +1

My old system was on premium fit and when that was removed the pfit went with it. I installed a 10kw system so I am better off with the new system. The old system at best exported 1kwh and all panels faced north so the production window was fairly narrow. My new system has the panels evenly distributed over north, east and west and produces for much longer during the day.

      We used them.

The electricians cracked a few of the tiles on the roof during installation but they ran out of time on the day so just had it covered up with a tarp for the time being and was told that they'd come back to have em fixed within the next week or two. Ended up being many weeks and months and several emails before it was addressed.

We also had the switchboard upgrade done at the same time and was told that it would be certified along with the solar system. So far we have only had the solar system certified and heard nothing about the switchboard. The electrician said they weren't given enough time to go through each of the switches to test and label them when they were performing the installation.

The installation was in Nov 2021, now we're in April 2022 and yet to hear back from them about the switchboard certification but certainly did receive an email from them requesting for the payment.

      • Hi Lastfanatic,

We apologise for the experience you have had with our company, we always strive to ensure we give our customers the best possible service and attend to any issues as soon as possible. Unfortunately in this instance our team has failed to deliver.

One of the main reasons for delay was sourcing tiles for your property, that has been rectified.

In regards to the switch board, we originally requested an inspection by Energy Safe Victoria at the time of installation however due to COVID and Christmas Energy Safe Victoria’s inspectors were short staffed and this wasn’t attended to in the time it should have. We subsequently followed up and requested an update on the inspection time and have been told an inspector will be attending within the next few weeks. Unfortunately this process of the post installation inspection is reliant on the inspectors and when they visit is out of our control.

Rest assured our team is proactively following up with Energy Safe Victoria to have the switchboard certified as soon as possible.

I will reach out to you privately as well with a further update..

        Regards,

        Matt

        • Thanks for the explanation Matt.
The biggest issue other than the delay was the severe lack of communication.
Every time, I was the one who had to initiate the contract to follow up. And I wouldn't receive any response for days and weeks sometimes. Only when this was posted here, had I received a proper explanation.

I understand sometimes there can be unexpected issues that arise outside of your control, but at no stage were these things communicated.

Kinda crazy, I paid $2000 with no loan for a 6.6/5kw system in 2018 (rebate was $2000 back then). Prices seem to have gone up with all the installers just pocketing the interest free loan money.

    • +1

      Hi Stirlo,

Indeed the cost of getting solar installed was much lower back in 2018. The federal (STC) rebates reduce annually and the state rebates (Solar Vic) reduce EOFY causing the customers out of pocket expense to increase.

This along with the cost of the actual equipment (panels inverters etc) which has increased significantly over the last 12-18 months due to global changes has meant that the cost of solar has increased.

However even with the increased cost, having a Solar PV system installed at your property is a good investment and will reduce your bills and pay it self off if designed correctly, with quality equipment.

      Kind Regards,

      Matt

Jinko 415w N Type - 25 Year Product Warranty, 30 Year Performance Warranty

Just curious, how can you provide a 30-year performance guarantee while the product warranty covers only 25 years. In another word, how can you guarantee the performance when the product is broken after 25 years?

  • I thought Canadian Solar and Fronius inverters were the way to go.

  • Any conditions for a double storey/townhouse install?

    • Hi Maz78,

As mentioned above additional cost of $350 for a double story. Depends on how the access is to get to the roof. In some cases we need a scissor lift or scaffolding depending on access.

Send through your details and we can review and advise.

If you could please share your property address and email (via PM, call or email) I will design a property specific quote for you shortly.
