  • db instinct is usually like $20, so nothing mind blowing but a pretty good price.

I've bought a few fragrances from chemist warehouse before and the stuff I got was legit.

It's very personal really, I might like something but the next might hate it. Check out basenotes.net for reviews.

  • looking to buy one for husband, he likes the strong/heavy fragrances. any suggestion from above list under 20-25$?

  • Get him Bleu de chanel. Aint cheap, but you will love it

  • They're real…they're just not current colognes. For example if you looked at their aqua di gio, it will still be pretty expensive. I use strawberry net to buy my colognes as they're pretty much guaranteed to be cheapest.

  • I recently asked instore about their perfumes as I was considering buying for my wife.
I regularly can purchase duty free with more discount, however Cool Water by Davidoff was so cheap at the chemist warehouse.
After expaining my prices available the staff member did say that is was genuine and would not hesitate, however they did say that not all were equivalent imports and said to ask before buying. They could not recomend all of the stock.

    • I've got that sitting right in front of me right now. Had it for about 6 months and used it once. Smells extremely synthetic to me and gave me a bit of a headache.

edit: just tried it again, yeah I don't like it.

I have been dealing in perfumes for almost 10 years now and I can assure you that all the perfumes sold by Chemist Warehouse and other similar shops are counterfeit and fake. They are second copies with 20-30% fragrance similarity. A fake can only copy one of the base, Mid and top notes. They are filled by oil essence mixed with T20 liquid and other additives if necessary. The alcohol required to keep a fragrance fresh is near to none. Take a picture of the product info sticker and compare it with an original one. THe font of the logo is usually different, place a torch light from mobile under the bottle and notice residue, unfiltered particles and precipitates from the uneven mix of chemical composition. DO not shake the bottle nor let the shop keeper shake it for u! these fake copies are packed and sold in grey markets. Do not fall for traps such as, "these are near to expiry" or "these are bought and sold in bulk" or "they are bought in countries where they are cheaper and then brought here".
The chemicals used arent trialed and tested nor passed for human use. They can cause rash, headaches and smell pretty bad after a while. Not worth it.
Stay away from "too good to be true" catches that defy the principles of supply chain.

    • Seems legit.
