  • Thailand’s borders are open for international tourism
  • From 1 April you will no longer require a pre departure PCR test
  • To enter Thailand you will need to apply for a Thailand Pass
  • The most popular plan is the “Test & Go” requirements are: be fully vaccinated, book 1 night stay at an approved SHA Extra+ hotel (you can book through Agoda), Insurance coverage of minimum 20,000 USD to cover covid-19 related expenses (note credit card insurance is eligble as long as it covers Covid-19 – we got approved using our ANZ credit card insurance)
  • You will need to do a PCR test on arrival (included in the hotel booking)
  • If you are staying more than 5 days, you will need to do a Rapid Test on Day 5
  • Other plans are Sandbox Programmed (certain area only such as Phuket) or the Alternative Quarantine, I imagine majority of people will choose the Test & Go plan.
  • There are plans to replace the PCR test with a Rapid Test from 1 May onwards and remove the Thai Pass all together on 1 June.

            Latest update:Fully vaccinated arrivals are no longer required to quarantine on arrival. From 10 February, fully vaccinated Australians are allowed to enter the Philippines, without a visa, provided they meet certain requirements. All foreign nationals entering the Philippines must have travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment with a minimum coverage of $US35,000. A range of COVID-19 measures are in place throughout the country. These can change regularly. Follow the Philippines Department of Tourism for the latest advice.

    It’s quite ridiculous, you need a valid vaccine passport to travel internationally for holidays. Was looking forward to visit Japan again later this year although I am forbidden to leave the country as I am not vaccinated.

    I’m getting downvoted but you do realise people like myself have conditions such as side effects from the first dose which prevent us from getting fully vaccinated.

      While i didnt downvote you, its pretty easy to see why. If you didnt want people to confuse you for someone that doesnt want to get vaccinated then a simple 'i cant for medical reasons' line would of helped (instead of editing later). Having a rant and even asking for a forged passport above is clearly going to rub people the wrong way. They may also be downvoting based on the fact people are still getting on deals and having a rant about the rules that have been put in place locally and internationally. Nothing to do with the deal.

    Reminder:
    Under the current Thai entry policy, if you get a positive post-entry PCR test result, you will be quarantined for a minimum of 10 days.
    The Tourism Authority of Thailand announced that the post-entry COVID-19 testing requirement is expected to be removed after June 1, so it is best to book flights after June and book hotels after the policy is implemented on June 1.
