S22 Ultra Offer from Samsung

I just received this message from Samsung, but dont have time to look further into the details to submit it as a bargain.

"For a very limited time, you can get the first Galaxy S Series with an S Pen, and Nightography for unbelievable photos all the way into the evening – for as little as $789 when you trade-in an eligible device. That’s a saving of up to $1,060*, so don’t miss out!"

If it is a bargain, it will no doubt be posted here, but what I am wondering is whether additional offers can be added to this to make it better - I have heard there is a $200 voucher you get if you phone Samsung and ask, but this may have been stopped??

Navigating this route always seems to be complicated (i think by design, so as not to detract from people that are happy to pay full price).

  • Adding the link: https://www.samsung.com/au/smartphones/galaxy-s22-ultra/buy/

Also adding that there is a $50 off your next purchase voucher (if you sign up for the newsletter), as it popped up after I posted.

(Newletter link to get the $50 voucher is https://shop.samsung.com/au/sign-up, and it says up to 48 hours to get the voucher).

  • Yeah, I am wairing for those deals to show up here. That's how I bought my last two Samsung phones. I ain't paying full price, ever!

  • I can see $450 discount for trading in a phone. How do you get a saving of $1060?

    • the $450 is an additional discount on top of what they'll pay for your old phone.

For example, if you want to trade in your iPhone 13 512gb 5G, it comes up as $610.

You can see estimate cost of phones here: https://www.samsung.com/au/tradeup/

      • iPhone 13 512gb for $610 is a tad poor

  • +1

Does anyone know if the $200 loyalty discount is still a think (that you can phone Samsung and request the voucher for)?

    • The $100 and $200 loyalty discount codes I was given were only valid for Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3 and S21 series. It didn't work for the S22 series when I tried. Or the one time it did look like it worked, it removed the $450 trade in bonus so wasn't worth it.
I bought my S22 from the Government portal, so the $50 sign up bonus didn't work either when I tried to stack it with the trade in bonus.

    • I managed to get a $100 loyalty code and stacked it together with my trade in bonus for a Note 10 plus. Had a cracked screen so only got $20 but the $500 bonus credit was what I was really after. Total of $620 off the price to bring it to $1229 for the 128gb. The $50 signup code didn't work though. Still the cheapest so far that I have found for the S22 ultra.

  • It looks like in order to get the pricing they have advertised, you have to be trading in the highest model S21.

I looked up the S8, and they offered $5 for it.

    • It can be worth trading in if there is a good trade in bonus. There was a bonus of $300 when I traded in my S8 for $30. So the value I got for it was $330.
