  I use my accumulated PAYG credit to pay toward the following year's recharge.

  Just phone their call centre when it's due and they'll organise it for you.

    how does it work ?

    the min. payg recharge is $15 and lasts 365 days

    does that mean you use the $15 credit to extend 365 days validity without getting the $15 payg back ?

  As soon as my annual service expiry date is due (eg 5 April) I log on to my account and check my PAYG credit.

  I then phone the Aldi Hell Desk and advise that I want to renew for another 12 months and request that they use my current PAYG credit towards the renewal.

  Whatever the difference I then pay using plastic and I'm good for another year.

  I don't have auto recharge activated.

    so it's using the PAYG credit to recharge to $15 plan that then renews for another 12 months?

    I called they say can't use the existing PAYG credit to renew as PAYG plan.

  i'm curious, how do you "rack up a sizable amount of PAYG credit" ?

    Backup phone, make zero phone calls but keep renewing every year with PAYG credit
