Any recommendations for a garage? Looking for something really bright

depends on your garage but these are only 60cm, you might end up using several of these as opposed to a smaller number of standard 1.2m tubes (i.e. brighter)

Strategically placed smart downlights connected to wifi.

That way you can turn them on before you come home and drive into the garage.

Also you can spread them out more so that you have even spread of light in the garage. If you have one light, you get shadows.

      • Hi mate, would you mind sharing with me what do you use for this automation? I am using Smart Life but it is a hit and miss. Works only sometimes. I have set mine up to trigger based on my location.

        • I use a range of different brands all connected to Google home. including Wiz (Bunnings) / Mirabella (Kmart) / Philips Hue.

Philips Hue is definitely the most reliable but if you have a good Wifi Network, it reduces issues. In saying that I dont have alot of issues with my smart devices.

You can also get add on sensors as well so that the light turns on as soon as you open the garage.

      • Hmm - this might be the way to go. Never really considered Downlights in the garage - even though we have them throughout the house. Will look into it - thanks!

    • Me too for my shed, I had a sparky over last week so I messaged him now and he said:

“ Thats suitable but don't buy it.
      It's a rip off.
I can sell you a better fitting that's waterproof for $150”

  • But this is 8x though isn't it?

  • Nightclub bathroom renooo!
