      Pretty sure you can't stack

        That's correct.

used to can, but no more

To be clear, I would sign up and book on the website for the referral code stage – i.e.

    1. Book using referral code on TheFork website (see referral code generator above)
    2. Book using the app using APP22
    3. Book with any bonus codes subsequently

I sorted by distance for places near me to see where I can book. Found that 15 out of the 25 restaurants/cafes on the first page of the results are not bookable - "Sorry, this restaurant cannot be booked on TheFork". That's 60% of the results on the first page!

I don't understand why TheFork can't simply hide places that aren't bookable to save wasting user's time of clicking on these…

same. i sent email complaining why i cant book on some places (all dates are grey out, every day every month whole year).
they just replied because there are no available dates..
      doh!
i knew that! so why they are showing if they dont want to participate ? (just normal booking not talking about using yum points)

    • Maybe try choosing a date/time to filter bookable restaurants. I believe they show non-Fork restaurants to track interest and possibly reach out to the restaurants with metrics as part of the sales process (I could be totally BS-ing but it seems like the reason). Also, I think it helps with SEO because they can show menus for as many restaurants as possible.

      • yeah i really hope that BS restaurants pay something for fork to have them listed and marketing stuffs.

yeah but if we filter by time maybe some restaurant are fully booked on that time slot -> we wont see.
but we may be able to go on slightly different time if we like the restaurant
so usually i dont filter by time

Agreed. I usually don't filter by date and time because because I just want to see what restaurants near me are bookable through TheFork no matter the date or time as I'm flexible with my booking.

Also, using a date/time filter has a couple disadvantages:
        1. If a restaurant is not bookable for a weekend but bookable for a weekday or vice versa, it means the results would be shortened depending on the filter.
        2. The restaurant's special offers tag (e.g. 30% off the 'a la carte' menu) would only appear for the date/time if that filter is on, whereas I much prefer to see restaurants with the tag then go to their page to find out which date/time the special offer is available for. I rather book for lunch than dinner if I know the restaurant offers 30% off for lunch and no discount for dinner.

  • dumb question:where can u apply the referral code when signing up ?

    • It's not when you sign up, but when you book.

  • huh found something new.

after browsing wasting few minutes, click one and:
    https://www.thefork.com.au/restaurant/legends-diner-r537113

This restaurant is not bookable on TheFork.

    and then another one:
Sorry, the restaurant has no availability currently.

  • Can make a booking today but the booking is for a later date (eg this weekend) and still get the bonus points?

    • +1

Yes… book for the future is okay
