Accor Hotels Status

Hi all. Does anyone have Accor gold or diamond status and would be able to run a price check for me? Am after a hotel in Singapore and would love to know the pricing for members. Cheers.

As far as I know gold or diamond status doesn't give special pricing, just additional perks:
    https://all.accor.com/loyalty-program/cards-status-benefits/…

You might be thinking of the Accor Plus membership which gives an additional 10% off in Asia Pacific plus one free night per year (plus 50% off meals - great if breakfasts aren't included in the package). I joined via Fiji which is much cheaper & worth it for the free night alone in expensive places like Singapore.
Accor Plus gives you automatic Silver membership too (which gives a free welcome drink for 2 people, late checkout & sometimes a special check-in desk).

Anyway, happy to check pricing - let me your dates & hotel name if you like (PM might be best).

    • How does one join "via Fiji" ?

      • You need to be referred by someone that has joined over there - happy to do this is you like, send me a PM.

Here is a comparison of the Accor Plus prices for the Singapore Hotel OP was looking at, which I thought might be an interesting comparison for everyone else too (posting without dates for privacy reasons):

Swissotel Stamford Singapore, Premier Room King, 4 nights, 2 adults

    Normal A$1001.84+taxes = $1179.16
Accor+ A$858.72+taxes = A$1010.71 (works out a bit more that 10% off because it is an additional 10% off the full rate)
Accor+ A$833.89+taxes = A$981.49 (special red hot rooms price at the moment - typically a short term offer)

Using the free room night that comes with membership:
Accor+ A$632.40+taxes = A$744.34 (works out a bit more that 10% off because it is an additional 10% off the full rate)
Accor+ A$606.03+taxes = A$713.29 (special red hot rooms price at the moment - typically a short term offer)

I chose Aust$ for the above rates so these will fluctuate each day based on exchange rate & of course all rates may change.

No breakfast in these rates, but 50% off all meals for two people usually makes this very reasonable.

You could get close to this with some of the online bookers when they have enhanced cashback but the free night usually pays for the membership so the membership easily becomes free, is simpler (rather than wait & chasing up cashbacks) & the 50% off food at all Accors in Asia/Australia/Pacific and other perks makes it worthwhile for this sort of trip.

    • How much is the membership?

      • In Australia the price is $399 unless you can get referred by someone who has purchased it overseas.

        • How much is it then?

    • Giving if you stay for a week, which night is calculated free: any, first, last or the cheapest?

      • In my experience I've always got the most expensive night free but if you let me know hotel & dates I am happy to check for anyone (although I can only check until end of November as that is when my membership will be due for renewal).

        • Ibis Melbourne Central. 6 to 10 Feb 2023. 3 adulds
          Thank you.

          • @vovka: Sorry, currently I can only check for stays until 30th November 2022 as that is when my renewal is due.

            • @Gaz1: Can you check 21 to 26 of November please?

              • +1

                @vovka: No problem.
I have looked at the "Compact room 1 Queen bed" for the 5 nights for 1 room for 2 people.
No membership (for reference to make sure you see the same rate):
Standard rate (stay longer & save) $855
Accor plus (stay longer & save) $769.50 (10% off with Accor Plus)
Accor plus (stay longer & save) $618.40 (10% off with Accor Plus plus using free night)

The booking website seems to indicate that breakfast is $35pp (you should be able to get this 2 for 1 if you ask when you check in).
Personally for this price I would ring a couple of the Sofitels & see if you can do a walk-in 2 for 1 breakfast, probably not much more expensive & likely to be substantially better.

                Hope this helps.
                Gary.

                • @Gaz1: Thank you for checking.

With my Classic status I can see that breakfast is included in the current "Ibis Business Long Stay BB" promo making the total of $955, which is way better than paying for it separately $35pp per day.

Just wondering if buying Gold status for ~$150 gives me a much better deal than I currently have.

                  • @vovka: The rates including breakfast are:
Accor plus (stay longer & save bed & breakfast) $913.50
Accor plus (stay longer & save bed & breakfast) $733.60 (using free night - not sure if you get breakfast on the free night)

I don't think Gold status gives any extra discount - I think it is just extra perks (but not sure)

  • I have Platinum status. There are special member rates. Not only for Accor Plus.

    • Interesting. Is there any easy way to get platinum status (without staying a lot of nights)?
I think you used to be able to get a status match but I don't think they do that any more.

      • Only way is to spend a lot of $ or stay many nights now.

      • +1

Last year you only needed to do spend a total of 18 night for Platinum status. I found it's worth it for the free breakfast, late check out and welcome amenity.

There is a status nights bonus for accor plus members this year- additional 10 nights for silver, 15 for gold and 20 for platinum.
