Best Wireless over Ear Headphones with Good Noise Isolation under $100

In the same vein as the other best headphone threads I'm looking for one under $100 and $60 for wireless headphones.

Main wants are very long battery life and good noise leakage protection or noise isolation not to be mistaken with noise cancelling technology which blocks out noise coming to the headphone user no what I'm after is the other way around which is minimising noise coming out from the headphones or noise leakage known as noise isolation.

Bonus points if it can fold so I can put it in my cargo pant pocket.

  • Try the Anker SoundCore Q30+. It's now listed for $97, but it typically sells for $120, going as low as $90 and as high as $150. Here is one review.

The sound core looks great thanks the ear pads look like they don't hurt

I got an audeeo indulge from Coles tonight for $50 and they are super uncomfortable but stay on tight but they feel worse than ear muffs

My audeeo curio left ear died on me yesterday and it got annoying only having the right ear playing around and also a bit imbalancing so I impulse bought the indulge as it is advertised as 20H compared to the 10H battery life on the curio but yeah comfort wise not for me really stiff atm.

The headband is also very stiff not soft at all and I don't think will soften over time.

Can't return them I think to Coles as I threw the packaging away and receipt.

Ah well worst case scenario I'll have to wear my smelly taotronics for awhile until I get some good replacements.

I have the edifiers which are OK but low battery life means I usually hear the low battery ringtone almost every time I have taken them out which is very annoying.

Don't want to spend too much on headphones because of the potential for them to get destroyed or damaged at work or on the train etc.

But since I will be wearing these 5 days a week almost 11 hours per day I think maybe I should invest a lot of money into my next pair.. Maybe.. Will definitely feel more anxious hanging them up in the staff room.

    • Good write up but missing battery life specs which is a big deal breaker for me.

Nothing like hearing the battery low sound notificatins halfway through a shift when you need it most..has happened to me enough times now to opt for longer lasting headphones..

Comfortability is also very important for those long shifts.

Appreciate the write up it was otherwise extremely helpful and informative.

      Awesome stuff man.

  • Looking at Amazon AU there seems to be some good long lasting ones from edifier so going to give some a go.

One boasts 95H and another 35H for under $100 with current promotion that gives 40% off.

Looks really good just hope it is not too tight and super comfortable for the head.

    • I’d be inclined to get the Anker ones instead. They’re well regarded in that price range.

      • Can link the exact one you mean?

I might still grab them if the 830bt has an uncomfy fit as i will be wearing them on and off all day so comfortability is very important on this buy

        • While I realise you said you want closed back (no sound leakage) and wireless, a lot of wireless headphones sold today tend to have a form of active noise cancellation included.

          These are great value:

          Soundcore by Anker Life Q30
          https://www.amazon.com.au/Soundcore-Cancelling-Headphones-Mu…

          They usually hover around $100.

          • @skittlebrau: I went with the 830bt for now but have not tested it yet

If the comfort is not on par then I will check these out next

            • @AlienC: Very late question… How did you go with the 830bt?

              • @Chippps: Never too late to ask a question I say be it few months or few years or few decades as long as I am alive and aware of the notification I will answer it :)

In regards to the 830BT I use it every day it is perfect.. never been below 70% battery and I use it a lot for many hours daily

It is also pretty water proof as I have worn it in the rain many times

Honestly it is an amazing product and also very comfortable headphone

I think pairing it up for the first time was annoying I remember and a bit confusing at first but after doing so it has been nothing but perfect all the way

                Yeah I highly recommend it

                • @AlienC: You're an absolute legend… Thanks for the helpful info… Will definitely grab myself a pair :)

                  • @Chippps: Personally I would try find another.

It is great no doubt but I feel that there might be better out there in terms of comfort.. But I mean this one is good in comfort but my gut tells me there is way better.

I rushed into this purchase with limited research is all I'm saying.. I didn't read a thousand articles before even dreaming about this headset I just bought it because I knew I was going to need a back up asap due to some coincidences.
