Help Me Identify This Old Nectre Wood Heater

I purchased this nectre wood fire some time ago and I'm trying to identify what model it is.

I've not had any luck finding any images online that match that square-ish door (they all have a more rounded door).

Can anyone recognise which model it is?

Other than the door it looks like this one https://www.nectre.com/en-au/nectre-mk1-pedestal#m-au-p-08 so maybe it's an earlier version of this model or it is this same one and someone put that different door on there.

    • It does and matches my assumption (Mk 1). I'm just hoping that someone can recognise it to be sure.

Interesting idea about the replacement door - it looks like it's original, but that's just a guess based on the Nectre branding on the door.

Probably a pain to move it in that shipping container but is there a sticker with details on the right hand side of the pedestal?

Do you just want the model number for parts?

Most wood heater parts are very generic.

    • Good idea.. I slid it out and took a look around the entire unit. No stickers, identification plates or similar.

I'm wanting to know its performance characteristics.

      • I would measure the firebox dimensions and compare it to similar shaped and sized units online to see how many sqm it can heat.

It's a bit hard to scale from your photo but it looks a decent size so I'm guessing 250sqm.

Does it have a fan or is it purely radiant?

        • Great idea. I measured it all and the closest match (based on internal and external dimensions) is indeed the Mk 1 (if it's any of the Mk 1,2 or 3). It's too old and small for the mega.

So if the current specs are the same it's good for 200m2. This suits perfectly as this will be our second wood heater (we have a larger one for our primary heating).

          • @iDroid: Sounds like a great plan.

Do you collect/split wood yourself or does someone else do the hard work?

            • @Muzeeb: Unfortunately I do the hard work - we have a large property, so no shortage of wood. Just a shortage of muscles.

  • Just call them or email them. They’re an Australian brand and make everything in Adelaide.

    • I have contacted them via email but have not yet had a reply.

I've also tried Facebook messenger but they directed me to their support email.

So given my impatience I've also turned to the internet sleuths to see what they have to offer.
