    • Cool. Just use a different mobile number, email address and postal address if you need to order more than $2K.

  • so none of these cards can be use on eBay

  • Is there a limit of gift cards i can use at JB? Looking to purchase a lot for a camera

    • I used 11 the other day, apparently the OzBargain record is 81 for a single transaction, so I'd say no!

    • +5

I've used about 50 gift cards at Jbhifi in one transaction.

I used it for a Sony a7iv purchase.

I would suggest going into the store at a non peak time so they can process them without stress/annoyance.

      • exactly the camera i was gonna buy :o

        • Jb Hifi had a one day 10% sale on the A7 IV, which dropped it down to $3600

Then I used $3600 worth of gift cards (bought at 15% off The Card Network gift card sale at Coles), which dropped it to $3600 x 0.85 = $3060.

I also own a business, so I can claim the GST and tax expense on it.

Great camera btw, I upgraded from the A7iii

    • PM sent

    • To add to the above, from what I can remember speaking on the phone, the online limit is 10. I used 8 + coupon code for my S22 pre-order.

    • +1

I have used 34 cards in 1 transaction before. Their system just sees them as EFTPOS cards.

As others have said, it is best to go when the store first opens so there aren't any other customers to inconvenience and have your cards removed from their cardboard packaging ready to swipe. The process takes ~10-20 seconds per card used.

I also brought a small box with me to throw the used cards into so I didn't mix them up.

I could only see $30 & $50 physical gc which has jbhifi

If you select the Him or Her cards, you can find $100 denominations

  • Is this TCN gift card? Looks different from the TCN gift card that I currently got.
If not, can I use different companies issued gift cards in one transaction?

    • +3

      Is this TCN gift card?

Yes. (FYI, Card.Gift is owned and operated by TCN Group.)

Looks different from the TCN gift card that I currently got.

The images you see on the photos are alternative photos that some retailers (e.g. Flybuys) use if they want to have the participating retailers shown on a front of the gift card. However, my guess is that once you receive the TCN gift cards in the mail, they'll look just like the ones you find in Coles, Woolworths, TCN's website, etc. Even if it turns out the cards you receive in the mail look different, they should still be EFTPOS gift cards with a card number starting with 502125.

If not, can I use different companies issued gift cards in one transaction?

      Yep.

  • I am interested in iPhone 13 Pro.
Is der any better deal to get it cheaper or 10% off via GC’s is the best one currently available?

Hi Guys, i placed order for 14 cards "For Him" but got cancelled. Anyone would know why ?

    • Limit is $2000

      • I ordered $100 x 14 = $1400 :(

      • +2

Called them. They said because it was my first order and that too for $1400, their accounts team considered it as fraudulent activity and cancelled. Asked me to place the order again and it should go through. Finger's crossed…

  • The Him physical gifts cards work for the JB Hifi online store i assume?

    • +1

Yes, but probably not in the way you expect.

TCN physical gift cards are EFTPOS gift cards, so they operate on the EFTPOS network. The EFTPOS network is currently only available for in-person in-store purchase where you have the physical card with you, so you cannot directly redeem a physical TCN gift card on the JB Hi-Fi website.

However, if you look at the TCN HIM webpage, go down to the How to Use section, select JB Hi-Fi from the drop down list and then select the Online button, it will give you instructions on how to exchange part or the full balance of the TCN gift card for a JB Hi-Fi digital gift card.

        Thanks, very helpful.

      • Sorry if this has been asked before. Does this mean that they can be used anywhere that EFTPOS is accepted??? Or only in store at the retailers listed on the card??? Thanks in advance.

        • For the gift cards in this deal, you can only redeem them at the participating retailers listed on the TCN website.

When you swipe one of the TCN physical gift cards in this deal at an EFTPOS terminal, it checks whether you’re at a participating retailer. TCN will accept the payment request if it thinks you’re at a participating retailer (e.g. JB Hi-Fi), and will reject payment if it thinks you’re not at a participating retailer (e.g. Coles, BIG W, 7-Eleven). I think the way TCN verifies this is by checking unique identifiers on the EFTPOS terminal and comparing them with a whitelist of accepted unique identifiers for EFTPOS terminals.

On the other hand, TCN also sell “category-restricted” gift cards (the ones where you can spend at any retailer using a specific Merchant Category Code - MCC). TCN do not check for unique identifiers for the EFTPOS terminal itself, but instead checks the MCC to see whether it is on a whitelist of MCCs.

TCN also sell EFTPOS gift cards that you can spend at pretty much any merchant accepting EFTPOS Savings payments, but I digress…

@WookieMonster: Thank you very much for the info. I'm hoping that Coles or Woolworths will have another deal on prepaid Mastercards.

  • Has anyone received the gift card yet? Mine is still not shipped. Purchased on the 11th.

    • +1

      Yep, got it on Thursday

  • I tried to use the gift card in jbhifi just now, but the transaction was declined. I activated my card two days ago. Any help would be appreciated.
