Save up to 30% on Health Insurance by prepaying

Unsure if this belongs here, or should be posted as a deal.

Received an email from my accountant this morning stating that if you prepay you health insurance for next year before 30 June 2012, you will still get the rebate you are eligible for currently.

For many people that will lose that rebate going forward it may be a good chance to save up to 30% for next year only.

The source of this was apparently a Choice report - no idea as to the accuracy of it, so please do your own research. May be worth a phone call to your insurer though to find out.

  • Well it makes sense that if rebate is going to go away for those earning more than $84k PA.

But yes it's worthwhile to ask your insurer to see whether they let you prepay for a year before the rebate change kicks in.

  • Thanks for that. Being a single parent, I am subject to the family threshold which is a big help.
