Photo Printing via Kmart/HN/OfficeWorks/etc - Can You Transfer The Photo in Original File Resolution?

Hi team

When using a photo printing service - either online OR in-store - is it possible to get the photos from the iPhone transferred across in their ORIGINAL resolution and printed?

I'm planning on printing a few photos in larger sizes e.g. 20x25cm

It seems to me that when you upload the photos it just takes a compressed jpg version and you end up with something that looks quite pixellated.

Thanks

  • Yes it's possible. Haven't tried directly transferring from a phone but you can always copy to a flash drive/SD card and then transfer at original resolution.

  • It is a waste of time to upload a photo that exceeds the quality of the printer being used. Saying that what is the resolution of the printer at Kmart/HN/OfficeWorks/etc in DPI?

Using your size 20x25cm and the photo size of WTF you may need to adjust the photo to get the best result.

  • I tried the Kmart software and it gave me 2 options , full res upload or fast upload.
Going tomorrow to pick up a trial 20x25cm photo. (original was 12MP iPhone photo, 4032x3024)

    • I took the photos off the iphone first to confirm they were full-res and uploaded them from the computer
