Any others with a wireless charging pad, too? (sorry to be that guy).

  • Whats the difference between SW20PS+ & Sense6PS+?

    • +4

      Someone Associated said this:

The display. SW20PS+ shows the battery capacity, if fast charge is active, charging voltage and charging amps. While the 6PS+ just shows the battery capacity.

Yet the store page shows that Sense6PS+ shows the above, too.

    • +1

Dunno if pictures are reliable, but sw20 shows it can charge 2.8 switch, while senses only 2. Despite being both 20kmAh

  • +2

look at all 3 for half an hour and still coudln't figure out the difference between the 3 :(
which one is the lightest and smallest? sw20 pro seems the lightest 400g but the dimension so much bigger compare to the other 2?

    • +5

The only difference is their physical size/weight and design. The ports, charging tech etc. remains the same.

      Sense 6+
      14.73 x 6.6 x 2.79 cm; 440 Grams
Display shows capacity, fast charge, voltage and amps

      SW20PS+
      ‎15.09 x 6.88 x 2.95 cm; 460 Grams
Display shows capacity, fast charge, voltage and amps

      SW20 Pro
      ‎21.3 x 12.5 x 3.5 cm; 400 Grams
Display shows capacity, fast charge, voltage and amps

thank you for the info, but the SW20 Pro looks like a lot larger in size compare to the other 2 models yet 40-60g lighter?

        • They're just different size/shaped battery cells inside.

      • +1

SW20 Pro says 400g on product info, yet 463g on the body of the page.

        • +5

Okay I've double checked with the official Romoss specs from each individual power bank.

          SW20 Pro+
          Size: L151 x W69 x H29.5mm
          Weight: ≈460g

          SW20 Pro
          Size: L168.5 x W81.2 x H23.8mm
          Weight: ≈463g

          Sense 6PS+
          Size: L148 x W67.6 x H28.5mm
          Weight: ≈435g

    • I'm also looking for an ultra-light/portable powerbank that isn't complete crap. 10K is enough for me. This appears to be one of the smallest: https://www.amazon.com.au/Anker-PowerCore-10000mAh-External-… Have you come across anything smaller/better?

      • +1

I have the Anker - it fits nicely in my left front pocket of jeans or shorts without feeling too bulky - and allows my old iPhone battery to get through a big day without hassles

compared to the double-sized ROMOSS - is that a battery in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me ?!

and seeing comments about ROMOSS and Xiaomi bulging - my 4yo Anker has no such problem.

        • Thanks for the review, haven't come across anything smaller than that from a trusted band.

  • Looks like romoss is 10% under the leaders for efficiency. For the price though, pretty good.

    • what brand would you recommend?

  • +15

I’ve had three of these. All started bulging and popping their cases after a few months, 2 still working ok. One replaced under warranty as it stopped working altogether, replacement had the same swelling problem. Seems to be a common complaint in reviews.

Never subjected to temps outside 15-26c as they never leave the house. Never dropped, no hot cars etc.

  • +7

Had one. Battery bulged and no longer working/charging just over the warranty. Not buying again.

  • +3

Bulging garbage. No thanks. How Romoss has gone so downhill.

  • +3

Please guys and girls do not buy romos.
    Stick with xiaomi

    • waiting for xiaomi deal…..that never show up!

    • I noticed my xiaomi started bulging so I replaced it with a romoss. I had my xiaomi for at least 2 years though. I dunno how long they are supposed to last…

I noticed my Romoss is considerable thicker than the xiaomi, I'm a bit worried I won't be able to tell if it starts bulging as well.

      • Thicker and heavier. There are reasons for the cheap price.

  • +1

Warning: no cables included. Consumers will have to purchase cables separately.

    • Same with Xiaomi

      • Not with the last few a purchased last year and in 2020, they both had charging cable and one model had two cables.

YMMV depending on models and possible changes.

  • +1

This deal deserves a neg to highlight the above mentioned issues of bulging and ceasing to work as I experienced. Got this thing and it’s a beast https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/665507

    • speaking of anecdotal, theres a comment about the powerbank you are recommending that says it will stop working after 13 months…

I logged-in to make a similar observation and offer a hearty -ve vote on the -ve vote….but you'd beaten me to it. 😉

        • +1

Perhaps In missing something, I just gave it an neg to highlight the issue. If someone was looking for a power bank and they saw a deal with 58 upvotes they might just go ahead without reading the comments. You get what you pay for and other power banks with these specs can sell for $80 so this for $26 might not be so bad, just bringing attention to the issues.

          • +1

@Pennypacka: All good. You're not missing anything.

I just gave the neg a neg to express that I considered it to be a non-issue.

They'd be pumping-out many tens of thousands of these devices every year. Whether it's Romoss, ZMI, Jackery or any other brand you'll find outlier horror stories of the devices made by the work experience kids at 4.59pm on a Friday afternoon before the long weekend. I've seen nothing to date that suggests there's a systemic issue (design or componentry) with any mainstream brand battery packs.

      • Scuffedpanda, what did that commenter do after his broke?

        • They bought another one? I believe that means another brand. Note that they did not upvote the deal.

    • I got 2 of those one old one a bit newer, they are heavy yes. No problem with bulging or anything else. I am happy with them

  • +2

I returned the 30000 version (sense 8+ iirc) as it would randomly stop charging even when nearly full. It'd just crash, had to plug it in for a few seconds to reset it.

    • Clarification, that is while it was charging devices. It'd be show 75%+ full on the lights, then both the charging would stop and the lights would stop. It'd crashed and needed a reboot via being plugged in to charge for a second and away it would go.

  • +1

I had one of these, sw30ps+ from memory, it didn't bulge but it's capacity is significantly lower than advertised.
Consensus was that if chasing using fast charge, you get less charge than using slow charge.

  • Thanks OP, still chasing a deal on the 30+ models though!

  • +1

Have had the Sense6PS+ for nearly two years and the SW20PS+ for 6 months. No issues at all.

    B

  • I've had the Zeus and sense 8+ for about 12 months, no issues at all

  • I had a romoss 20,000 powerbank that started bulging after 1.5 years

  • Avoid Romoss if you can. my last battery from this brand lasted. Max 6months.

Got two ankers instead and still going after 18 months.

    • Agreed, Xiaomi is much better
