Tyres for Honda Civic 2017-18 Model

Was pulled by cop today and was warned to change car tyres asap. I do not have any knowledge regarding tyres - type of tyres. Appreciate if I get any info on the same. What brand of tyres do I use? Model/make - size of the tyre etc. Where do I buy? whether online or offline. Kindly suggest.

Hondo Civic VTI-S Model. - nearly 60k kms done.

Thanks in Advance

could've asked the cop these questions 😂
read your manual, take a photo of the tyre capturing the size info then look for tyre deals here with that info

Lots of tyre shops have online tools that can suggest brands etc for the size you need

You can do a deal search based on the brand, or look at deals with tyre tag

    1. Goto tyre shop
    2. Ask tyre shop you need new tyres
    3. Shop staff inspects your tyres to get size etc…
    4. Ask for options that fits whatever you have
    5. Pick an option, get the price to pay, and accept
    6. Wait around for fitting tyres
    7. Shop staff will let you know it's done
    8. Inspect the new tyres
    9. Pay $$
    10. Drive away from tyre shop
    11. Exit driveway of tyre shop carefully and go home/destination.
    • 12- test performance of new tyres with the windows down while onlookers look in amazement

    Go to a tyre shop

  • Anyone capable of posting this thread should surely also be capable of googling “new tyres for Honda Civic vti-s”
Nevermind I just checked out OP’s user name

  • Based on your knowledge, I would suggest heading to any of the major tyre shops, and asking for a few options of tire. Check the websites of the major tyre shops around you to see if they have deals (4 for the price of 3) running on specific brands at the moment.

    OzB's favourite - Bridgestone RE003?

Go to your local Bob Jane. Buy Michelin. They won't be the cheapest but they last a long time. Get a 4 wheel alignment as well.

Why wasn't the tyre issue picked up at service?

    • If OP didn’t know how to look after tyres buying long lasting ones might be a false economy. Long lastin is dependant on alignment and rotation.

It's the quickest and easiest solution.

How much effort do you think the OP will put in if they have neglected their tyres to the point that the police have told them to change them?

  • Pretty sure Dunlop is the cheapest for the average honda/suzuki gauge, like $130 a tyre
Bob Jane is owned by Dunlop owner from memory, so always on sale.

  • I recommend set of Pirelli P Zeros. They come in white, yellow, or red so choose your favourite colour. These tyres are really good, will make your CRV stick to the ground.

One small caveat though, if it rains you need to drive to Albert Park and go through the service road next to the long straight. They will change the tyres to blue or green ones.
