Decko Tiles Vs Composite/Timber Decking

Hi OZBers,

I'm planning to deck my alfresco which is levelled concrete floor. Unfortunately the termite barrier is low such that the deck framing (75mm-90mm height) would lift the decking (20mm thick) above the termite barrier and would risk losing the termite protection warranty.

Hence was looking for tiling options and came across Decko tiling. Has anyone used Decko tiling? How sturdy are they? Given they are will not be screwed to a frame, I'm concerned that they may become lose and wobbly.

Looking for your valuable comments if you have used them and photos if you are happy to share.

don't use in direct sun, composite material will be super hot. natural timber will also get hot but will dissipate that heat much quicker. feels nicer under the feet.

    • Thanks Archi. My alfresco would have direct sun in the morning. It was a nagging point on my head too 🙂

  • OP did you go with them in the end? I am in a similar situation to yourself and considering Decko or the IKEA equivalent.
