I am looking to purchase a cheap wireless camera such as the Imou Looc. I don't want to use any of the apps that come with these cameras and I also don't have a home server. Is it possible to connect a HDD or USB to the USB port on my router and store the footage from the camera wirelessly there. I don't mind giving up the features that come with the camera's app, would just like it to record and store continuously in a loop (I can have the camera always connected to power so battery isn't a issue).

Idk if it helps but looc can record to an sd card inserted into instead of cloud.
Generally no.
You need to go to a proper camera (your cheapest options are likely Hikvision and Dahua. I run AXIS's at home)
