I'm currently looking at purchasing a new phone under $350.
The phones I'm looking at are Oppo A54 and Oppo A76. I've also been told that Samsung Galaxy A12 is similar. Trying to do my homework and comparing the phones but honestly the specs just go over my head. Which one would be better?
Looking at something that has good memory and I can play a few games on. Would love some technical advice, recommendations or suggestions. Budget is under $350. Current phone is Oppo A73.

Essentially similar specs to Oppo A76, but more RAM and storage, cheaper (~$A315 with 8GB + 256GB delivered) and better camera ;)
Anything as good but cost less is a bonus. Thanks heaps for the recommendation . Will definitely be looking into it
@Notanordinaryperson: Downside to the poco is that it’s an aliexpress purchase so no customer service. Which most of the time is fine; now and then it isn’t
@dtc: Thanks. I found that Kogan sells them but not for Aliexpress price. I'm a bit hesitant though to buy from ali for that same reason

Pixel 3 isnt bad. $250~$300. Although in my experience pixels have questionable reliability
Thanks but it has to be reliable. My current phone has been great except for the memory. Also the screen is cracked from falling car mount . To replace the screen the cost is almost the same as replacing the phone.
The Oppo A76 is a higher tier device, it runs a Snapdragon 680 (6nm), and 4 of it's cores are Cortex A73 derivatives, + 4 efficiency Kryo Silver cores (based on Cortex A53)
Galaxy A12 and the Oppo A54 are using the Mediatek Helio P35 (12nm), all 8 cores are based on Cortex A53, and there are no high performance cores.

So if you're looking for gaming performance and responsiveness then I'd go for the Oppo A76. But that's just looking at the performance, I haven't looked into the other aspects like Android update policy or how good the camera sensors are. The A76 is a newly released device while the A12 and A54 released in 2021.
