Just went to HN on Martin Pl again. Actually you pay $276. and claim $49 from Acer. The $49 cashback is for A200 16GB version, according to Acer website. But the sales insist it will also work for 8GB version.

In SA, HN's web site is showing $329 (before cashback), making the cost: $290, not $229…

      Ie, too much!

which might apply to the 16gb version, except this is the Iconia 8gb version according to HN, so tough nougies!

      • Bah, they have too many models of these things for me to keep up with! :p

      It's the 001 not 004

  • I just got a photo of the ads, but dont know how to upload it.

  • 227 + 39 = $266, anyone else think that is an odd price?

    • May be HN has a special price in store.

      • I just queried this with a local store, they reckon that because each franchise is independent pricing will vary…FWIW, they were charging full price = $429! :o

typical HN crap .. good luck to those who can buy this and actually claim a cashback !

  • What are the chances stores in VIC will match this?

  • The Ad doesn't mention whether its 8GB or 16GB, and the cashback is only valid on the 16GB …
    If that is so, $227 for a 16GB A200 is crazy !!

    • Mind that it's a fair price as this tablet is thick and heavy, and from a relatively unpopular manufacturer, which is less support from either acre or community.

New tegra 3 tablet with ICS is coming at price tag of 249USD the next two months, though we might see them selling 299 or 349 here in oz

      • I'm doubtful that they'll release for under $300 when they have the brag factor of "Tegra3" - just like any other new tablet release they'll be more like $500+…

Jen-Hsun Huang is just blowing smoke like usual.

I wouldn't be holding out for $250 tablets with tegra3 - you'll be waiting until tegra4 is imminent and then the same argument will apply.

  • Did you mean Martin Place store by 'Sydney CBD Store'?

  • There is no 16gb A200 on HN website. So maybe the store is making a mistake, as the cashback for 8Gb model already expired.

  • I just called the store and connfirmed its 8gb model.

    • Did you tell them the cashback has ended?

      • Nah, just asked what model was it.

  • anyone can confirm??i twisted my ankle, otherwise i would like to check it out for everyone…

sales guys form HN may say anything they want to sell the product. But then you will be dealing with Acer in order to get cash back and Acer may reject your claim saying that there is no cash back on your product.

  • That's a pretty crazy price.
