That's good. But I'm lead to believe Target just had this for $196? I think I might wait for that to come back.

    • Yeah target had it for $196 now sold out everywhere

    • You might be waiting awhile and need a bit of luck to get ine at that price. If your not in a hurry, Im sure it will be at that price again at some point

    Awful wheels.

  • New design?

    • Yes, 2022 regulation

The wheels are all wrong, especially the rear size. And the tread pattern, what are they full wets, monsoon? They should probably say Hoosier and not Pirelli as they look like racing dirt tyres.

It's also not that tech'ed out. A diff, V6, suspension and steering (which is out of alignment). The livery is from 2021, on a 2022 looking car. As a F1 fan, this bugs me, but if I wasn’t that picky or didn't know better then I guess it’s OK I guess. But the wheels are inexcusable, just make new parts.

The Speed Champions and Williams F1 car’s were much better F1 cars. This should really be a System set.

What they probably should of done was hold out a bit longer for the actual 2022 car design to come out before releasing it, but suppose they already worked on it months before hand. I think the wets is to get the blue wheels to match the blue livery as other tyre colours probably clash a bit.

I was watching a video about the Merc set with the F1 car that also has blue rims. They went with blue because lego tyres have tread on them, which mirrors the wet tyres in F1, which use blue rims.

    • My thoughts exactly. I had high hopes for this set, but quite disappointed with the design and probably won't even buy it. Most people who know F1, will be bothered with the body/livery mismatch and the silly wheels. And people who don't know F1, probably won't buy the set in the first place.

  • Mine arrived yesterday and hadn't got to it was hoping it was V2 the new reprint however it's surprising bigw still had V1 of the car (for those wondering the new car has removed some sponsors from the lego car) sticker will make somewhat collectable

  • Fyi, Amazon has it for $249 here
