why don't you do combined postage? It's not as if Australia Post care how many you put in the envelope…

    • +6

Because it's not really free. How many times does this sort of question need to be asked? This USB stick costs $2.95. End of story.

      • +3

Then the title should be changed…

  • Curious to why PO box deliveries are not allowed…

You must want our addresses for marketing.

    Limit, 1 per household too.

    • where does it say limit of 1? the site allowed me to enter more than one…

      • Lol. oh shit, I was wrong.

      • Hi JV

Whilst you can enter more than one as the quantity, for this deal as per the terms and conditions, more than one order per household, will not be processed.

        Thank You

        • Also in such a situation where more than 1 USB drive has been purchased, a refund will be issued to the buyer for the remainder units purchased.

          Thank You

    • I get plenty of marketing in my PO Box. :(

Your website looks a bit dodgy:

    Address:
    Sydney, NSW 2000
    Zip Code: 2000
    Phone: NA
    Email: [email protected]

  • 2.95 per item, no combined shipping I think is the point :)

  • Why can't I pay with Paypal? You process CC through the Paypal pages but that's not the same thing.

bad experience with Toshiba USB drive….

    • Lost my data on this exact model. Was a surprise to me as Jap goods are meant to be reliable than any other country…

      • Japanese goods made in China.

I believe this are meant to be low end usbs in other words cheap crap.

      • +1

Likewise but with both 8gb models bought from HN… save data, go back to it 3 days, device comes up as needing format.. data lost.. Least reliable USB devices I've ever purchased…

I wouldn't use these even if they were given away for free!

  • +1

got one of these a while back, be warned they are the slowest usb's ive ever used. Still cheap though

Waste of money, I bought a couple of these Toshiba 4GB flash drives from Harvey Norman on special for $4, but both of them have issues. They crash both my media players, lock up my set-top box, don't work with our Sony TV to display pictures, and don't work with our digital photo album. Write and read speeds are terrible, far worse than the $4 Lexar stick I bought at the same time.

I'd buy a different brand, save yourself the trouble.

Read through this thread, it's for the 16GB Toshiba drive, but many people mention problems with various capacity Toshiba sticks:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/64753

No neg because the deal is good, but the product is (in my experience) terrible.

    • -3

No neg because the deal is good,

how can it be a good deal if they don't work? more like a waste of $2.95…

    • +1

hmmm, i was going to get one but now i've had second thoughts about it

      • I bought 4 of these from mln christmas before last. So far no problems. My wdtv live is ok with it. It's just a usb stick. Not the fastest but have not had any reliability problems with the 4 I bought.

  • Nice, typo:

"Usual $9.95 RRP (plus shipping) AUD as recommended by Toshiba Australia."

Also, $2.95 for a 60c stamp is quite steep:

"A deal to bring home the pocket-sized and lightweight Toshiba 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive at $0; just pay $2.95 for postage and handling Australia Wide!"

I'd say the handling costs would be about 25c per item, pick up, drop, seal, throw.

    • +3

Why can't you accept that this is just a $2.95 USB stick? Is the problem that the rep has said that it costs $0 + $2.95 postage? So if he wrote it as $2.95 + free postage you would be happy?

      Where I come from $0 + $2.95 = $2.95 + $0.

      • I guess you come from Ebay. :)

  • +5

I really don't get why all the pre-teens in this thread are having a cry… It's $2.95 delivered for a 4gb stick.. if you don't like it, just move onto the next bargain..

To the whingers, next thing you'll be waiting to break down the price with GST components. And why you have to pay it.

    • +4

      Exactly!
$2.95 for a 4Gb stick delivered sounds pretty good to me.

    • +1

@Vladdo: No ones having a cry mate. People are just writing about their bad experiences with the named brand USB. That's helpful since it will allow others to think twice before purchasing something which majority of the people have had trouble with.

I know its only $2, but you're purchasing it with the intention of using it. Pretty hard to do when they give you trouble. I'm sure most people would rather spend a few bucks extra just to save themselves the hassle.

      • +1

I've bought half a dozen toshiba sticks and they've never given me any trouble.. Slow maybe but works as intended.

    • right on.

  • I'd pay a couple extra dollars for a higher quality drive.

  • +1

I bought 2 8gb Toshiba USB sticks from HN when they were on sale, no problem with using them. Although the previous 8gb Kingston ones are better deals IMO, $6 and free delivery

  • These work great with the xbox 360 and are fully compatible.

    Hi Guys

This deal is now SOLD OUT! Thank you for your appreciation!

  • Available for pickup? ;)

  • Sweet mine arrived. A quick test with H2TestW reveals mine is dead/corrupt or worse, fake.

Fails the test, locked up and now refuses to format on any PC.

    See for yourselves:
