Price is $149, so thats $129 not $119?

    • Updated, thanks.

I don't think 980 is part of this promo. 980 Pro is, and 970 Evo, but not the plain 980

This SSD is not on the eligibility list

    • Many thanks for the tip.. I had recently purchased a 970 and did not realize this was available !!

  • Which is a good 500 ish GB SSD ?

Western Digital Green 480GB M.2 NVMe SSD or Crucial P2 480 GB m.2 SSD

    • Neither unless the system needs to be very cheap.

Dont worry your one is better.

    • 970 Evo Plus is much better.

    • is this included in the samsung promotion ?

    Is this compatible with PS5?

    • +1

      Nop

    • No, doesn't reach the required read speeds of 5,500MB/s

  • Thanks, ordered one.

  • So what are these dramless drives actually good for?

    • +3

People who want the Samsung brand but not much else. I’d rather get the 970 Evo plus.

    • They are good as a secondary drive for games.

      • Backup or to play off?

        • To play off, the main issue with these drives is the writes and even that is overstated tbh, read operations are fine.

  • SSD prices are so low. I remember 5 odd years ago paying 600 bucks for the 2tb version of this!

    • I remember paying 600 bucks for 512GB.

Unfortunately Samsung 980 1TB is not on the list.

      • The Pro version is though just in case anybody gets confused.
