OZBARGAIN2

Hey Guys,

The Big LAN is back in Mitcham, Victoria and we're ready for our biggest event yet. We've got tournaments for some of your favourites games and over $20,000 in prizes from our sponsors! We're also supporting Wildlife Victoria with a portion of each ticket as well as a raffle.

We think The Big LAN represents great value for money as every ticket includes entry to all our tournaments, lunch and dinner, as well as exclusive discounts from some of our sponsors.

Among these tournaments are some new big features, like a CS:GO 5v5 tournament and an Apex Legends tournament.

We've also added some new activities like our Logitech Racing Zone, ZOTAC VR Station, a board games area, the Console Corner, and more!

Date: April 23rd, 2022
Location: Mitcham Baptist Church (8-12 Simla St, Mitcham)
Time: 10AM - 10PM
Cost: $15 - Console/AFK | $20 - BYO PC
This event is 18+ only and is a drug and alcohol free event.

Damn, if this was QLD I'd be there. I miss LAN gaming so much.

    • Yep Lansmash and ggf I think it was, miss those days

      • Damn, Lansmash brings back memories. MotherLAN at Nudgee was probably the most memorable though.

Gameserve on the Gold Coast was where I made my first friendships in Oz

  • No Valorant in 2022?

Not enough interest in Valorant last time to be honest. We had to make a call between Apex and Valorant and so we went for Apex this time.

If enough people show up for Valorant casually then it'll get a proper tournament.

  • 18+? but alcohol free…. aww

  • Has this always been the trend to BYO PC + Monitor for LAN gaming? I remember just taking my mouse, keyboard and headset only.
Anyways, for csgo, do we need to register as a team or can register individually and be assigned a team?

    • Yeah, the majority of LAN parties are BYO PC. I've heard of esports events when equipment is provided, but never a large-scale LAN party. I'm not sure how it would possibly be affordable for a group to to provide PCs plus Monitors to 100+ players without charging $200+ per ticket.
