Are There Any Value ISP Deals out There?

Hi gang,

I'm sure this question is overdone but just seeing if theres any fresh deals that I can take up.

Currently I am on a $105 for 100/40 with telstra. they are deleting my plan and moving me up to a $110 plan for 100/20. This has rubbed me the wrong way and im thinking of switching. Aussie BB at $99 for 100/20 seems decent but I was just seeing if there are any sub $100 deals out there I can't find?

I would use 5g but Telstra only goes up to 1TB of data which doesn't service my needs.

All other 5g looks to be out of range.

Any advice appreciated. Cheers.

    • do you know anything about their service ?

      • I believe Spintel support is offshore but live chat has been helpful on the rare occasions I've needed it.

  • +1

    More Telecom nbn 50/20 $53.90, 100/20 $69.30, 250/25 $83.30 (30% off) Per Month for 1-Year - Pay by CommBank Credit/Debit Card

    • this looks promising. any idea about their service?

      • Fine for me.

There's no contract and/or any setup fees so if unsatisfactory can always leave to another provider.

I have been with Superloop, Aussie Broadband, and More Telecom. No issues with all of them (i leave them when my discounts finishes and I want a better price)

        • nice, can i just use the telstra modem? do you know?

          • @Avp86: Yes you can. No voip though… But is rootable to do so…

            • @kfp187: Hopped on more telecom. 250/25. Downtime of like 30 min. Pretty happy with the speeds and connection so far. Cheers!

  • Launtel is $3.50 per day (106 per month) for 100/20 but you can pause the internet on days that you are not using it. If you go on a holiday for 2 weeks, you can pause the internet and you will not charged for those days.

  • They legally can't force you to pay more for less. Challenge them on it and they'll back down. They will grandfather your plan, even if you're the only one still using it.

If you're still thinking of changing because of Telstra's insulting price-gouging, iinet have half-price offers for the first year.

    • thanks for the heads up but i've already switched to more. is this something the ACCC enforces or?
