That bed frame looks like it would fall apart at the slightest sign of movement.

I reckon it looks like I made it myself.

Yes, we can make it by ourself if we have the machines. The problem of the woodworking is the cutting, sanding . With only handsaw, the cutting will be not aligned properly. And also issuse with painting, without machine painting , the quality will be very bad.

    • this is the simplest design. rest for sure that It is rock sturdy when the installation is completed.

  • does it make any squeeky noise with a movement? if not but later does, would it fall under warranty?

    • The bed is very sturdy after the completion of the installation.
The bed come with 10 Year warranty.

      • The bed is built with solid hardwood oak timber. it can last very long time

        • Are you sure it's made from oak? What type of oak is it?

          • @WatchNerd: The Oak timber is from Vietnam.

            • @[Deactivated]: The last three ‘Oak Timber’ products which have came from Vietnam have all had expansion issues and looks to not be hardwood at all.

Obviously cannot speak for this product or business but it seems to be an issue in the industry more generally.

  • Haha that looks terrible.

  • The google translate grammar in the reviews on the front page, all 5 stars, suggest they might not be as review-ey as one may first assume.

    • It isn't all 5 stars. there are some 3 or 4 stars. I am not sure which one is google translate. not sure what you means.

  • The reviews look amazing

  • I made my bed out of hardwood pallets. Solid AF and looks a fair bit nicer than this.

    • pallet timber wouldn’t be long enough to make a bed ….my bed is 2 metres long and i haven’t seen any 2 metre pallets to salvage 2 metre long timber from, problem with some beds is they are MDF with veneer which isn’t durable for something like a bed which does get movement vs book cases, cabinets that don’t get movement.

if it is solid solid oak it’s a good good price considering current price of clear hardwood timber with no knots

      • This oak timber bed isn't a MDF nor veneer product. It is fully solid oak timber, and painted with high quality of painting.

      • Not all pallets in the world are the same size…

I work in an industry that receives goods on 2.4m pallets. Usually pine, but sometimes they come in hardwood. I take all the hardwood ones. My bed is made from 10x35cm planks and has 10x10cm posts. I only used the pine pallets for the slats as they’re easier to sand. I reckon an elephant could sleep on my bed and it wouldn’t break.

  • If you put a thick mattress on this you wouldn't see the head very well, if at all.
