  It might be worthwhile noting that the USB port that is connected to this hub MUST:
  Support PD and Display to make use of all the features listed in this hub.

    I think you got it the wrong way around. It should be the type c port this hub is connected to.

          @CodeXD: I see what you're saying now and I think you're really splitting hairs. If the hub is connected to the USB, then the USB is connected to the hub.

          His context makes it clear.. 'must … to use all the features' - this can only refer to the client PC because if it were the hub itself it either would support the features or it wouldn't.

              @CodeXD: Read above, on the context of the issue if he were referring to the hub itself then it either would or wouldn't support PD/DP mode and 'must .. to use all these features' makes no sense. It's quite clear the device he is referring to.

    I've heard OTG works with some but I haven't tried it myself. My chromecast is old and doesn't use USB C (uses micro USB) so wouldn't work as it is.

    I think it really depends on what you need it for, I doubt you'd be able to make use of the HDMI slot or USB slots for anything too exciting but I could be wrong. Hardwired ethernet would be good if it works though.

        If that's what you're looking for, might as well get something designed for it if possible
        Designed for it this looks like it'll work if you've got one with a micro USB port. If it's USB C then maybe look at getting one with just the ethernet port with passthrough charging.

  Keep in minde the USB-C port on is charging only, so you won't daisychain eg. an external USB-C disk to it, for one.
