Best Electric Toothbrush and best value heads?

I need a new electric toothbrush, I quite like the ultrasonics but more focused on the cheapest replacement head while maintaining quality.

Any ideas? Previously I've had Xiaomi but its old and its hard to find good deals on the heads.

I can give the best value head

    • OP says: "…but its old and its hard…."

Things for OP appear to still be working fine. So that's a good thing.

    • How much and how long will it last?

      • user name checks out.

  • Oral-b heads are everywhere & cheap.

And a lot of fakes too. Always buy from a reputed seller when on special.

I have oral B, its pretty good. I suggest getting one with the sensor for when you push too hard so you dont damage your teeth enamel, and also one with a lithium battery so it doesnt become useless after a little bit. I got the Pro 2000. Its great!

  • +1 for oral-b, get the higher end with lithium battery

    • What are the rough costs for good value heads for it?

Its hard to know if the imported generics are any good.

      • Stick to chemist warehouse/amazon/coles. They're often on sale for $3-5 a head.

The lithium battery unit is usually on sale for $80-$100.

Oral B Pro 1500 or Pro 2 2000 series when on sale under $80 (seen as low as $50)
Heads go on sale quite often too on Amazon and at Shaver Shop

I did a write up on one of the previous deals on how the 1500/2000 series is the cheapest model with the lithium battery and high oscillation speed; the higher models are mostly just app features and LED lights but no actual performance improvements (until the 8000+ series which has a slightly faster oscillation speed)

Most supermarket models won't cut it

  • I have the Oral B Pro 2 2000. I got it for $40 (but that was possibly a price error). They have been around $60 a few times which I think is still a great price. Anything under $70 and I would grab one. My favourite brush heads are the Oral B Cross Action. I picked up an 8 pack for $32.49. That should last me close to 3 yrs with the refills (it says 2.5 yrs on the pack but I generally use the brush heads for a bit more than 3 months as they are still in good condition at the 3 month point).
