OEM blower card but probably runs cooler and quieter than every Alienware cards put there lmao but that’s not exactly a high bar is it

The OEM blower type card (ASUS GTX1080Ti 11GB TURBO) got me through the GPU price hikes. Got it for $894.20 from this deal-

It has worked for almost 5 years.

Alienware 3080s are awesome. It’s their lower tier cards that suck

not really mate, you can check online review plotting the oem dell cards with everyone else, the only okay card was there 3080 as reviewed by gamer nexus, all the others are behind every other oem or AIBs. Not to mention the extra aw premium you would be paying and the case they came with are horribly depression. Steve actually release a video just days back even their top end desktop that the 3090 came in is a depression piece of garbage from 20 years back.

        • Steve tore down the 3090 actually. He said it was pretty decent. The PC's are rubbish though, agreed.

Can you deshroud it and put a different heat sink for it?

    • +4

I wouldn't do it until warranty period ends, what if you do it and manufacturer claims it is user damage

  • that was fast

  • ex demo, so probably ex miner.

mining with just 1 fan, its like playing squash on 40c day.

      • I meet some miner who prefer blow style card, which works better in confined space.

        • wow, a miner who likes to mine in confined space, first time I heard. wow.

      • I have a couple of these running in a mining rig server case, case fans setup to blow directly into intake of card so the gpu fan isn't working as hard because it's being pushed by case fan airflow. Works great.

they had non-ex-demo listed but oos in few mins

Don't want to catch a falling knife.

I want to catch a falling gpu.

      • +1

        Could be painful

        • don't worry, he's a big guy

        • +1

the key here is to catch, not to get hit.

          • @[Deactivated]: Brag as though you're mastering the system when all you're doing is subsidizing the extra cost with mining lol. That's being hit. Retailers have beaten you

  • I've got the Gigabyte version of this card, it's OK but damn it gets hot. You'll want good airflow in your case.

    • I wish its as hot as the chick next door…

      • Have you shown her your mining rig and the 10 billion dollarz you've made

  • got itx case, but deshourd mod saves the day. beats any method.

  • Was $40 less 2 years ago. Anyone who caves in and buys this is weak willed. The turbo 10 series also sell for $50-$80 less on ebay so why not just spend $1249 on a better model.
