Looking for Android App that syncs notes between phone and Google Chrome

Looking for an app that is compatible with Android and Google Chrome, which allows me to type up short notes in Chrome extension (via PC) and displays it on my phone homescreen as a large widget.

I guess something similar to Evernote, but the widget is stupid. The note snipit/preview is too small and I only need 1 preview/snipit, not 3.

Preferably a free app too.

I've found that Evernote is the best out there. There were a few alternatives like Wunderlist and Don't Forget The Milk but these typically make you pay extra for widgets.

  • I have used Simplenote before and found it ok http://simplenoteapp.com/
Of course if you are a Cloud storage user you have many options
Lots of apps sync with Dropbox so you could create a text note and save to dropbox
Google Drive support isn't as common as dropbox support yet but will soon overtake db on android apps I would guess
I presume there are apps for Skydrive and other cloud too so maybe just use whatever app you like and save there
Or you could use cloud docs and save to web e.g. Google docs
For Chrome widget apps I find Springpad better than Evernote IF you focus is browser notes and storage - and it is free
Evernote is much better at desktop doc storage and sync though

Like many things these days the problem isn't how do I do it but rather which of MANY choices suits me best

    or

use Google Tasks in GMail and GTasks http://goo.gl/pyd2i
