Has Anyone Actually Received a $50 Reward from Cheddar?

I signed up for a shopping cashback site Cheddar 2 months ago and immediately used cheddar to spend from myer in order to get the $50 reward, I contacted cheddar about 3 weeks ago after finding out that I couldn't log into my account, and eventually they deleted my account.

I learned from Frederic (Cheddar Team) that they have no way to restore my account and spending records, they need me to recreate my account, Following his instructions I re-provided my myer spending records and evidence, and since then I have tried to contact Frederic to ask when I will be able to withdraw my $50 reward, but Cheddar Team has never replied to my email again.

As a business with a Commonwealth Bank investment background, I don't think they will lack funds and integrity, but if there is more than one person like me and can't withdraw the $50 reward for various reasons, I feel I have the right to know the truth and discuss it with everyone

    Crappest app out. When/if I get my $50 paid out I’m deleting the app.

    Transaction still stuck as pending. Not holding breath

    I got it, cashed out about 3 weeks after I signed up. Confirmed it arrived in my bank account a few days later. Qualified with the Pizza Hut $15 promotion.

      Similar experience here.

      09 April : signed up and used $15 Pizza Hut promo for pickup on 11 April
      16 April : transaction tracked
      27 April : $65 credit to bank account.

      One of the fastest cashback and certainly easiest $50 I ever got paid to eat pizza.

    When the app is embedded with survey questions such as "Who is your favourite artist ATM?" I know it is clearly not aimed at my demographic. All my transactions are still pending since I signed up on April 1st, which was probably a bad idea!

            Thanks for your patience on this one. I have investigated your transactions and can confirm they are yet to be approved by our merchant partners.

            Cashbacks can take between 30 - 90 days to be approved by our merchant partners. While you're waiting for approval, it will appear as 'Pending' in your Cheddar profile. Once validated by the merchant, the transaction will become 'Available' in your Cheddar profile, meaning that it can be withdrawn into a bank account you nominate.

    Yes. Paid out within 2 weeks of qualifying deal being approved. It was a Pizza Hut deal which paid another $15
    Sad to hear that some people's cb aren't being honoured tho :(
    Cheddar is backed CBA's venture capital arm so had the potential.

    Yes. I essentially got a free pair of pants from The Iconic.

    It's definitely not as polished as Cashrewards or Shopback when it comes to notifications, but it did work.

    Mine is sitting as pending, no idea how long I need to wait. Have transactions tracked but not able to withdraw yet. Cashrewards at least tells you an expected date.
    I think Pizza Hut has a quicker turn around for approval since you can’t really return a pizza sixty days later for a refund.

    I put through a Chemist Warehouse order on 1 April, both the CW purchase and $50 bonus still show as pending…

    Yes got paid out, but only after I issued a complaint my Pizza Hut cashback didnt track. They fixed it within the week and cashed it all out.

    Unfortunately, these cashbacks will not be paid by the merchant because its showing that you came through Cheddar on a mobile device and finalised the purchase on a different device, e.g., laptop, another app, iPad etc… For cashbacks to track they must be completed on your mobile device.

    They rejected all my cashbacks with this excuse. Although I did all transactions using the same device. Already reported to accc. Rubbish company for sure.

    So how come the people who signed up during the 2 pizza hut cashback deals were able to get their $50 sign up bonus literally within 1-2 weeks based on the comments, but for the people who signed up afterwards (BigW etc) it seems like it's going to take up to 90 days+ to finish pending??

          Dunno about you, but I always get paid out by Pizza Hut on CR within a week or two of purchase.

            @kerfuffle: Ok then, just wanted to find out that cheddar wasn't trying to pull a fast one after they got ozbargained on the sign up bonus. It's not like there were any recourse when SB or CR rejects or couldn't track a purchase.

    I just saw the pizza hut cashback and straight away withdraw it. Hopefully it will go into my bank account soon. But the bonus cashback of $50 is still pending which should be approved too as the first purchase has been approved. I will have to send them an email.

          I made a purchase from Big W on 24/02, reached out to the support team last week and they told me that Big W cashbacks can take up to 145 days. Are they the exception to the 90 day limit? 5 months seems a bit excessive. Rep if you can help, that would be great.

    I had my first purchase around 25/3 and had my $50 bonus approved today, around a week after the first cashback was approved. I had sent in a support ticket but they didn't get back to me until after it was automatically approved. They did get back to however and manually approve a declined Menulog transaction that I didn't even ask about (wasn't going to bother after reading the negative comments here) so that was a pleasant surprise. I'll use them again.

    Mine got declined after waiting a month. Multiple emails to support have gone unanswered. No reason as to why it was declined. Pretty disappointed with Cheddar so far. @StoreRep are you able to assist?
