Edit - Overnight there was a slight glitch were 95 cents was added to the 32gb and 8gb sticks.

I will go through each order and issue a refund for the amount overpaid.

This also will go for orders which we're hit by the $1 overpayment.

I apologise for this and I will have this organised today, there is still plenty of stock in the 16gb and 8gb sizes

More stock available for the 32gb Sticks!!

    • all 4 ordered arrived ok. format to ntfs ok.

      thanx!

  • I picked up one of the 32GB ones recently; I also decided to go the brown, BTW! :p

Crystal mark reports a sequential read speed of 21.09 & write speed of 9.06, if that helps anyone.

where are you getting this free shipping from? im getting charged 0.95c still a good deal tho

    • +3

Same here… Getting charged 95c for delivery. :(
Seems to be a lot of "price glitches" with these guys

  • I have updated the main post in regards to issues that happened over night.

    • Was the glitch a computer error or a human error?

      • +1

Or a "We will charge an extra $1 and hope not many people notice" error

      • Computer error sadly. All orders effected by this will be sorted out to reflect the advertised price.

        • +11

how come you don't have computer errors that decrease the price?

        • +1

what about those that paid by direct deposit?

    Hi,

    I am afraid not.

    Regards,

    Graeme Bell
    Customer Service Representative

It's a shame.. the rep here is quite nice and helpful, but the other reps seem like douche bags.

They probably all work in the same building as well… so he/she would probably know Graeme.

On a better note, rep, at what point would our orders start getting dispatched? My payment has been confirmed and I was one of the first one's to order (got in when there were less than 50 clicks and I gave the first +ve vote)

    Thanks.

      Hello xDEFiNE,

Thanks for the feedback, I am ITspot representative Tim!

The orders have begun being shipped this afternoon, its an automated system in regards to the emails sent out for processing/processed and shipping.

I have made shipping these a priority for our warehouse and our staff are doing their very best to get them out the door!

I wish you and our fellow OzBarginers a safe and great weekend. :)

      Regards,

      Tim

      • I have still not received my refund. What's up rep?

  • @Tim the rep
Hi could you please provide us with your email address so I we can email you my account email and tell you that our order has been overcharged. Btw just purchased a 32gb usb drive and paid the extra 95c+(extra due to the delivery fee)Paypal surcharge of 2.5%. Thanks and hope this can be sorted :)

    • Got the refund, however not the extra surcharge, but that's okay I'll let that couple of cents slide

  • Thank you. I have just ordered 3. Sharon

  • Was hesitant because of the (very) bad reviews about customer service etc., and the reports of extras ($1 or so) being added. But ordered a 16Gb stick anyway.

At checkout, was charged correct amount, verified on my bank's online account details. So far, so good.

If the item arrives and works as promised, I'll certainly be happy as the price is very good indeed.

If it doesn't, then grrrrr … but at $10 it's worth the risk.

  • Not a bad deal, you can however get a brand new Sandisk 32GB USB on ebay for an extra $5, shipped from Australia.

    • from where?

  • Has anyone received their order yet? Mine is still "Payment Received and Confirmed. Processing Order"

    That was 11/05/2012

    • I got an email that mine was marked as shipped today.

    • Just got the Shipped email

  • Mine was delivered today and shipped on Sun arvo :)

I was one of the very first to order though.

    • Thanks for letting us know xDEFiNE.

      We appreciate the feedback!

  • Got my 32GB yesterday and ordered on monday so I'm fairly happy with that turn round

  • I got mine today but its quite slow when it tested it

    quoted speed

    USB 2.0 Interface
    30MB/s Max Read
    15MB/s Max Write

    what I got

    20MB/s max read
    7MB/s max write

    • I tested the 32GB one and got

      Read: 22MB/s
      Write: 13MB/S

  • Got mine today, happy with the product.

  • Got mine today. Longer wait than expected.
    25.1MB/s Read
    12.5MB/s Write

  • I tested the 32GB one and got crappy speeds but I suspect that my usb port is failing. or is only usb1.1

    • G5 imac is reading at a gig per min

  • 8GB USB link is showing a price of $10.31

  • Looks like itspot is still as bad as ever when it comes to shipping.

7 working days so far from the day they said it was shipped.

    Not holding my breath.

  • I received my 32Gb drive on Friday and tried it on my Dell L501X laptop. It doesn't work. Win7 claims the drive must be formatted to work, but when I try the process fails.

The drive can be read on a Mac and a different PC however, so it looks like a weird incompatibility between this brand of drive and the Dell. I've used Toshiba, Sandisk, Kingston and generic USB drives without problems. This is the first.

  • I just got another Shipped email this morning. The first shipped email I got was on the 16th which I haven't received yet. Now I get another one this morning. This one included a PDF receipt whereas the first one didnt. What's the go here, I ordered these sticks on the 10th?

    • same. I received mine last friday and received the shipped email today. tuesday

    • Arrived today

  • I recieved email it had been shipped on the 18th

    Still nothing …

I've got to say postage/shipping is horrendous

    • and still nothing today …

      something fishy going on here

      • Finally arrived today
Shipping is something less than desirable

  • I got mine today. I ordered on the 18th. Not bad, 6 working days.

The USB looks a lot more plastic and dodgy than the pictures would reveal (Horrible olive green colour 16GB). However, I guess the stuff that counts is there ie. the speed and capacity. Tested mine on ATTO Disk Benchmark.

    Read: 23.5MB/s
    Write: 9.5MB/s

  • Why is this expired? The site says stock avail. and just placed an order.

    • Expiry date was set when OP (ITSpot store rep) posted the deal. It might be the intended expiry date for this promotion. Looks like they have either re-stocked again, or extended the promotion.

seems like catch of the day took advantage of this ;)

  • Ordered on the 14th , then was confirmed shipped on the 16th of may ………….. Now is the 4th of June , the USB never come . When I contact ITspot , they keep telling me to ask the post office but they have not received any .

Well … Never purchase anything from this site again.
