Really hoping the 3080 will reach this price soon 🤞

    • I am with you, have been waiting for a 3080 deal for a month, no point to spend 1k for a 3070ti at this moment.

some nutjob are still selling used ones >$2k on ebay.

        Living in 2021.

      • Still wonder if I should've sold mine for $2k, would've paid for the techfast build I got.

        • you need double nutjob that's willing to pay for it lol.

By the time that happens, the 4xxx series will be so close and the kind of performance you can get on next gen cards for similar price will stop most people from buying a 3080.

      • I reckon 40xx cards will be very costly. 3080 will run my 1440p 144Hz just fine.

        • A 4070/7700XT would anyday be better with newer features and better RT etc. But the 4070 usually rolls out later. IIRC 7700XT is coming first with higher end MCM cards coming later and both hopefully priced sub 1000AUD.

@John Doh: It also depends how much you want to get one. If you remember 3xxx releases bots snagged errything, dipship long queues, sold out everywhere and scalpers running rampart. The only way to get one was in a prebuild with a slapped in i5 3456F 550w bronze psu 8gb of ddr2 667mhz ram 5.25" floppy, a case from an windows 95 build and anything else they could find in the shop to get rid of.

This is a A tier cooling card, I've got one and it's great. But it's been at this price before and lingered, was closer to $930 in AP sales and then when selling like hotcakes they took it upto $980 and it hung around there for a while. Would like to see it closer to $900 before pulling trigger on another.

around 9-10 mths roi at 65mh/s. not too bad.

You should change your username to Luv-A-Downvote ;)

      • Eth difficulty bomb is set to 28/6, so not much time for much ROI.

        • postponed to few months after june.

        • -1

There was a dev meeting 29th April, from that half the devs wanted to push difficulty bomb back to december, but didn't want to deal with "the merge will never happen at this rate" optics. Whereas others are pushing for difficulty bomb to stay in June. Which means exponentially decreases profits. One thing for sure is eth team haven't confirmed anything yet. So buying one to mine on is a gamble. I'd like to buy one, mine on it until it pays itself off and then give it to my brother as a birthday present.

          • @Jazza2400: t-rex 25.13 is out, stable at LHR 79.1, massive. update driver to 512.xx

              @[Deactivated]: You mean a 3080 not a 3070ti right?

              • @Jazza2400: LHR 79.1, the tuning, not the mh/s. but yeah 3080 can hit 80mh/s at LHR 79.6

  • A side note 3070 ti 16 GB is coming soon, since BPCtech accidentally put the page live on Friday, sadly they didn't add any cards to that page.

        • All depends on your boss Vitalik Buterin and when he wants to merge his code and how much money AMD and nVidia and now Intel will be paying him.

          • @John Doh: I'm sure they all be making a lot of money. and I'm sure the goal is not to make you pay cheaply for a decent GPU like 3080 and 4080.

            • @[Deactivated]: All I know is it wont and cannot last forever.

              • @John Doh: It can, they know you have the money, and they know you cannot wait forever ;)

its only $3000 for 4080, people spend a lot more on booze and ciggy.

                • @[Deactivated]: Looks like difficulty bomb is not delayed this time, just saw the news

                  • @s20525xxx: Looks like for 'real' this time. but there are heaps of altcoins lining up reap for the taking…

      • I cannot see other reason why bpc tech put up the page for the 16GB model, then took it down when I posted about it in one of their own post here.

6750xt is coming, makes sense they wanna counter it with a 16GB model

        • The performance increase of 6750XT is miniscule. AMD has also stopped 6800 non-XT. nvidia has no reason to be worried about it on a 3070Ti model which is fair bit faster than the 6750XT.

  • Price has now been increased again past 24 hrs, listing at $1249, discounted sale price is : $1,036.67. The other price has gone up a similar ammount too.
