I see Kmart are now selling the 12L glass see-through air fryer again
      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/12l-convection-oven-4267187…

      • Why? Apples to oranges.

      • Those convention ovens are not airfryers. We had similar prior to an actual air fryer, It was useless.

        • Convection ovens are air fryers, and air fryers are convection ovens though. Huge fan, heat, tiny enclosure - the only thing that is different is that the food loads in the side here, and the other one through the top.

I've been using mine for about 1.5 years now and it's been invaluable.

  • OOS

  • I just ordered one through my local store, and the store nearby has stock. Must vary per store?

    • yea I did too, so must be store dependant

      • For my local store with stock it says, Available in-store only.

    yep, depends on store

  • They really do just throw a dart at a board for the price of this thing, huh?

Bought this for $25 last year. It's just an old school element and fan blowing into a pot. Uses 1100w basically constant, vs 2700w on/off cycled with a normal fan / force oven. Result is about the same. Look out for poor non stick coating in the bottom trays. The first box i opened was rubbish (would rust in no time). So swapped it.

    $25 is about right.

In this size it's basically just a handful of chips, or maybe a small char siu pork (careful, burns easy). But too small for say a chook and a few veg at the same time. Keep an eye out for bigger units for not much more. Woolies had the next size up for $15 more, Coles had a Thompson twice the size for $45. These are popping up everywhere now. Probably could frankencooker it and cut the bottom.off and place over a bigger pot..dunno.

    • Agree on this - I bought a 10L Air Fryer, I love it and the unit is quite large but I can't imagine trying to prepare food with a smaller tray.

    • How did you know if the coating was rubbish and would rust? Was it peeling or something?

Yeah it was bubbled, totally missing in some areas and felt rough. Everything would have stuck to it.

  • I got this for the same price and been using it for about 6 months now, nothing fancy just basic air fryer and pretty happy about it. The size is ok if you are living alone but small for family. Convenient to use to quickly cook meat like steak, bacon, frozen chips, reheat pastry and a whole lot more. I dont have a lot space in my apartment so the size is perfect for me and also because its quite small it can really heat up pretty quickly. Max temp is 200 and the dial can go up to 30 mins. I think other air fryer can go higher than that.

  • it's very loud.

  • Works well for about 6 months, but too loud.
It worth about $30 I think. I paid $36 for it.

  • Showing $49 for me

    • That's the instore price as well.
