Experiences with Gift Card Bonus Offers Via coupons.nine.com.au?

Hey I am talking about the use of the link from coupons.nine.com.au, not asking about the use of general coupon codes on that website,

In particular these kinda deal i am talking about is,

You get a $X Reward (usually Gift Card) on $Y minimum spend, in 1-3 months.

And the terms will be like similar to this on that offer:-

offer provided by Global Savings Group Malaysia, Sdn. Bhd
The reward code will expire if not claimed within 90 days of being issued. Once expired it cannot be issued again.
This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other cashback or voucher code promotion which isn't advertised on coupons.nine.com.au
After clicking on the reward voucher, continue with your transaction/purchase on the retailer site without clicking on any other vouchers to ensure reward claim is valid
To determine eligibility as it pertains to the minimum spend, the total price before GST and any shipping costs will be used.
Purchasing gift cards do not count towards minimum spend requirements.

To be exact looking at Bring home a $50 Catch Gift Card when you spend $350+ at Tyroola.
But they have similar kinda deals on other websites too like this one with a certain minimum spend get $x Reward

only asking because they are offering a lot better value in terms of Cashback compared to two major cashback sites

Steps
1 Share your email with us
Share your email with us so that we can keep you updated about your reward. We'll send you 3 emails updating you on the status of your reward.

2 Complete your purchase
Go to the retailer directly from the link we provide and complete your purchase. No need for a code, just be sure that your purchase fits the reward terms and conditions!

3 Receive your reward
Receive your reward directly in your inbox! We'll need 1 - 3 months to complete this process.

I am skeptical if they will honor the reward, whereas I know that with other two CB providers they will certainly do.

  • Hey USER DC,

I can answer any questions you might have about our Rewards. Thanks for the shoutout!

    • I cannot PM you, dont wanna all details in the comments here.

I was only wondering these Rewards would actually be given out or like likely chances they get declined when customer has not done anything wrong, (like groupon decline cashbacks on SB etc).

I have already made my purchase, was wondering on your process, like do we get a confirmation email that you have tracked our order from your partner merchant?

Some of your offers are actually pretty good, better than both SB, and CR, like the one i mentioned

As for shoutout, anyone offering good deals deserves a shoutout IMO

      • The Rewards are a service we provide to our customers, it takes 1-3 months as we need to go through a process of validating the transaction you made with the retailer. If you ever have a question or are concerned about a redemption you are waiting on, let us know. You can find the appropriate contact details for the Rewards support team when you register your email address. There is also a FAQ section for Rewards on the site.

        • do we get a confirmation email that you have tracked our order from your partner merchant?,

and then you later on wait 1-3 months for validation that order hasn't been modified etc. ?

Like similar to Cashback sites experience ?

And honestly if you think this deal I mentioned has reliable tracking and you are confident that it gives Reward 100% (or close to it) times every time user does everything correctly mentioned in your terms, condition, Why not post that deal mentioned as a deal here ?

You'll probably get a lot more users, but only if your success rate (of giving Rewards when customer meets all criteria) is good.

You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered for the Rewards service, and you will continue to receive a confirmation email within 24 hours when the transaction status is updated by the retailer. If you are concerned the transaction wasn't tracked give it 2-3 days then send us an email through the contact details provided.

The transaction status updates we will receive follow a sequence of: Pending, Confirmed, Paid

It is uncommon for our customers to have their Reward transactions voided by the retailer, although it does happen.

Typical reasons why a transaction might not reach confirmed, and instead becomes voided are:

        • The customer has returned some or all of the items they purchased
        • The customer shopped with the retailer via their mobile app (yep! not all retailers connect tracking to their apps for us publishers)
        • The retailer might consider the transaction is to be credited to a different publisher

Throughout the online purchase journey, you make as a customer, from the start to end - you might have come across various channels before arriving at the checkout. Savvy shoppers especially would have multiple of these touchpoints:

Blog, Price Comparison Website, Coupon Site, Product Review Site, Cashback Site, Shopping Browser Extension, Social Media Promotion, Google Ad Words (Yep! Some retailers will void the transaction you make, if you came to their online store via their search ads.)

        • Sounds exactly like a cashback site process man, but with a lot better value in terms of $ value in your Rewards program of this deal.
Thanks for the deal on your site, I hope to have the Reward confirmed soon in the 3 month time mark.

          • @USER DC: Yep! Global Savings Group operates Cashback websites too, just not in Australia :)

If you ever are concerned about the tracking of Rewards, drop the Rewards customer service team a message.

I am glad you like the value of Rewards, do you prefer the $low Gift Card Rewards with a $low spend requirement? Or do you prefer the $high Gift Cards with $high spend requirements?

            • @Creed: Personally speaking I wouldn't have spent $400 if you didn't have a $385+ spend requirement, aka only bought 4 tyres instead of 5 (to replace spare in boot).
But on consideration of $50 reward, I said I may as well spend for an extra tyre. But if however your spend requirement was too high like $500 or something like that in this case, I wouldn't have bought though the nine website, instead just simple cashback sites would have been fine.

So to answer your question personally
I'd rather like $low spend, $ high Gift Card Reward (Cashback is preferred)
But if not that option then
$low Gift Card Rewards with $low spend requirement,

Additionally I think nine website should also say about the things like "payment with Giftcard" or like "use of discount voucher" whether they invalidate Rewards or not on a particular merchant site.

@USER DC: I have shared your feedback with the team, thanks mate.

We can provide Branded Gift Cards with the following brands:
Catch, Coles, Myer, JB HiFi, Barbeques Galore, H&M, Supercheap Auto, BCF, Rebel, Kmart, Priceline Pharmacy and Target

Which Gift Cards do people prefer?

We will look to add many more brands this year.

                • @Creed: Grocery is best generally, as most people would be able use it.

If the $Reward amount is same, then I guess if you could provide Coles I'd highly appreciate it. Since I can use it on any coles store, and on any item.

                  Other good ones could be

                  Amazon, eBay, Wish/woolworths

Instead of coles/myer/kmart/target I think you should put Coles group Gift cards which can be used on multiple coles partner stores (including Coles, Kmart, Coles Express, Target etc.)

other decent ones from your mentioning "Catch, Coles, Myer, JB HiFi, Barbeques Galore, H&M, Supercheap Auto, BCF, Rebel, Kmart, Priceline Pharmacy and Target"

Jb hifi, SCA, Catch, Priceline pharmacy are useful too, but Barbeques Galore, H&M, BCF may be not so much popular with people, (H&M might be okay with some people too)

@USER DC: Amazon and Woolworths gift cards are coming soon.

Just like Cashback, the Reward Gift Card $value is fixed based on the % we are paid by the retailer.

Customers can use any of the discount codes found on our site in combination with Rewards, we are working on the functionality to stack this, it is on our product development roadmap.

If you stack codes from other sites the tracking is highly likely to be severed. So make sure if you are going to stack a code with a Reward, get it via us, then proceed to register for the Reward and checkout and apply the code.

If you are using a Gift Card as payment, the retailer will highly likely void the Reward transaction.

Be sure to factor in 10% GST when it comes to the minimum spend requirement for Rewards.
