No Drivers for Old Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 GPU on Gigabyte Website?

I was given a really old GTX560 (gv-n56goc-1gi rev 2.0) until the RX6600 come to a really good price.

I am using windows 10. It detects the card but the highest resolution is only at 1280*1024.

Only BIOS downloads are available.

I was wondering if I can grab gtx560 drivers from the NVIDIA website? Will the be compatible?

Thanks

yep, GPU drivers are typically obtained from the nvidia website. The 560 is no longer actively supported but this is the latest Windows 10 driver:

    • Thank you. I'll give it a try. So in regards to BIOS downloads, is that something to mess around with?

      Thanks

No I probably wouldn't bother with modifying the bios. Just grab the drivers and you should be good to go.

The main reason you would download from Gigabyte is their overclocking and RGB control software. The actual GPU drivers are obtained from Nvidia. Of course, as mentioned above, you will not be getting game ready drivers for modern games on the 560. Most games would still run just fine though.

  • Got it! Thank you
