[TAS] Stainless Steel Laundry Pegs $5.24 for 20pk @ Shiploads

81

If you’re tired of broken plastic pegs and wooden pegs that leave marks these are a great alternative. I saw a giant stack of them in a bin at Shiploads in the Cambridge Shopping Centre near Hobart airport.

  • 316 or 304 grade stainless steel?

It makes a big difference, I am about 1km from the sea and 304 pegs rust here…

    • Not 316, they're slightly magnetic so most likely 304.. .

    • Agreed. For that price it’s safer to assume they’re not marine-grade.

  • These look like the Aldi ones, but different packaging.

They're all the same pegs. Aldi is not special, they're all the default Chinese pegs available everywhere like AliX etc.

      Garbage design:

      1. There's a small and large size. If you mix them in the same basket they're hard to tell apart. One medium size would have been better.
      2. The way the steel wraps on the finger grip is a bit short. So the buggers get stuck inside each other. Untangling them constantly is annoying.

Good idea but as usual let down by a design that nobody bothered to check.

PS: neg is for cheaper elsewhere eg: ali/ebay.

I was gonna say…nesting! So annoying. My wife got some of these since she's all about eliminating plastic…eventually I got her Pincinox pegs instead, which don't get tangled into a big bunch like these ones do.

        • Wow. A 20pk of Pincinox $40. link Are they really that good?

      • Fair enough if they’re cheaper elsewhere but these are available immediately, no waiting for the inevitable Chinese seller shipping times.

Most people already have pegs to tide them over :p

Don't worry, my wife paid a fricking fortune for them from activated eco. She got caught by the sheisters. Still annoyed at her for paying 20x too much lol.

And look similar to the Sabco ones at Woolies - but they charge $9 for 15.
      (They are 304 SS)

    What’s the deal with pegging?

    • +4

No problem, according to your mom

      • So you know first hand his mum is into pegging….

Now i have to delete my account

  • Sorry for my ignorance, but what's wrong with the timber ones?

    • +1

My observation is timber pegs eventually get moist and start to mold.

Just get the 316 Grade Large ones from ali.
I got the 6cm, 100 for $30 and they are honestly great!
